Actor Leonardo DiCaprio took advantage of the end of the year to buy the house next to his Los Angeles property for $10.5 million. It was an occasional deal made directly between the parties, after the death of one of the owners.
The house belonged to Ron and Joan Linclau, who sued DiCaprio 12 years ago for destabilizing the land on their property while they built a basketball court on their home. The lawsuit was settled with an undisclosed payment from DiCaprio.
The surface area of the newly acquired property is over one thousand square meters. And it’s part of an initiative by the actor to buy out the entire neighborhood. She collected her neighbors’ homes in the coveted Bird Street neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills, and now has four homes, four pools, and over 4 miles of living space.
Additionally, he has properties in Malibu, Palm Springs, Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, New York and an island near Belize in the Caribbean Sea. Some of the ultra luxurious places are available for rent, while others are for private use only.
