Influencer Gkay spoke on Sunday evening (15/12), after becoming a laughing stock between comedians Fábio Porchat and Paulo Vieira. The unfortunate situation occurred during Globo’s Best of the Year awards and also involved the late presenter Jô Soares.
At the awards ceremony, Paulo Vieira kicked off the pin pricks by saying the broadcaster would lose credibility by broadcasting Farofa da Gkay, the comedian’s birthday event that brings together under-celebrities, artists and content creators. This year’s edition was considered a “failure” by the artist’s followers, who considered the celebration forced.
“We are so worried when we show it on Globo that we think ‘wow, it has a ‘Globo standard of quality’. We think we have to do something high-end, elegant, but then I saw Globo broadcast Gkay’s Farofa,” joked Vieira .
The comedian’s comment managed to elicit a good laugh from the audience, which included names like Tatá Werneck and William Bonner. Even the presenter Luciano Huck got carried away with the “joke”.
Subsequently, Porchat took Vieira’s package and declared that Jô Soares preferred to die rather than face an interview with Gkay. The presenter died at the age of 84 in early August, in São Paulo.
“I keep thinking and I say: ‘What would Jô do with a Gkay?'”, mused the comedian. “That must be why he chose to leave us.”
Comedian Tatá Werneck greeted Porchat during the speech. The scene hinted that she backed up the joke after receiving a barrage of criticism for the ‘Lady Night’ show, which aired an embarrassing interview with Gkay earlier this month.
After the nasty comments, the influencer took to Twitter. Gkay said she was “tired of being a joke” among comedians.
“You [Porchat] to say that a person preferred to leave rather than interview me, you really have no idea how much it hurts me in a thousand places,” the outburst began. “First, because I know what it’s like to lose someone. Second, because being interviewed by Jô was one of my dreams and third, because I have to be a huge piece of trash”.
🇧🇷[Estou] tired of being a shitty joke to people, being made fun of, being scum, being treated, I don’t know… Man, I’m just at home with my family watching movies and that’s what I get. I had to leave the room to go cry in the bedroom and my mother wouldn’t see it because I don’t want to ruin her Christmas.”
“I’m really tired, you know, really tired. In fact, I’m exhausted, because I don’t know what I’ve done to make people hate me so much, humiliate me so much, day after day and now even on national television, proving I’m a joke in the bad sense for all of Brazil”, concluded Gkay.
After the outburst, the influencer received the support of her followers, who asked her to “receive criticism, filter aggression and evaluate yourself”.
Soon after, Porchat told a fan that he messaged Gkay after the joke was shown and, according to columnist Leo Dias, confessed that he didn’t imagine the influencer would get upset.
The digital influencer reported that he did not reply to the message and did not want to know about Fábio Porchat. “I didn’t answer and I won’t.”

Woman, welcome criticism, filter aggression and evaluate yourself. Take from it what will make you greater. There are things to review and change. Focus on what makes sense to you and keep improving. The rest, throw it away.
