From “Red: Growing up is a beast” to “Lightyear”, animations that were successful and had a lot of prominence this year
If you are an adult who loves animations I definitely watched most of those released this year and probably got thrilled with the emotional appeals that the pixar atelier of disney bet this year with “Lightyear” and “Read: Growing up is a beast” animations. Or even have fun with “Minions 2: Origin of Gru” from the studio Lighting.
So to mention some of the successes which played on the big screens of cinema and not streams This year we’ve put together a short list for you to check out below:
Red: Growing up is a beast
The Pixar animation premiered in March and takes place in 2002 in Toronto, Canada. The film follows the story of 13-year-old Mei Lee. She faces adolescence, but she has an important detail of her personality: every time she gets excited or angry, she turns into a red panda. In this way the plot approaches a beautiful metaphor about adolescence and the changes experienced by young people in this phase.
Light year
Lightyear is a mixture of science fiction and action elements to talk about the origin of Buzz Lightyear, one of Andy’s favorite toys in the famous Toy Story franchise. In this universe, Buzz is the famous Space Ranger who faces a dangerous intergalactic adventure, together with his friends and his robot Sox.
Minions 2: The Rise of Gru
The plot continues the first adventure of the franchise that began in 2015, and continues to focus on the childhood of the villain of “Despicable Me”, together with his assistants, the crazy Minions.
The film is set in 1976 and Gru is already 12 years old. In this way, he is now planning how to enter the world of evil, and the minions will be his allies in this task.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformonstrom
In this new animated film, Van Helsing creates an invention that turns humans into monsters and vice versa. Drac and his friends end up becoming humans, which leads to the loss of their powers. Now they must race to find the cure before it’s too late.
Wendell & Wild
Directed by Jordan Peele, one of the great masters of contemporary horror. The animation is all built in stop-motion format and follows two demon brothers: Wendell (Keegan-Michael Key) and Wild (Peele). They then enlist the help of 13-year-old Kat Elliot to summon them to the Land of the Living. Back in the earthly world, the two face frightening difficulties.
