In the petition delivered by the defendant’s lawyer, Mauricio Padilla, it is argued that Drake’s testimony is essential to “prevent any failure of justice”. The defense attorney points to the music as one of the proofs of Drake’s involvement in XXXTentacion’s death On BS, released this year by the singer. In one line he sings, “If he’d kept his mouth shut inhabitmaybe he’d still be alive.” Padilla claims the killing was ordered after the victim accused Drake of plagiarism.

The justice officials reported that they had gone to the witness’ home and despite the movement of people inside the room and cars parked on the street, no one responded.
In your podcasts, Dj Akademiks admitted that he was summoned by Justice, but said he will not testify of his own free will. The defense argued that the current defendant does not have the financial structure to finance attempts to bring the DJ to the booth and asked that he be brought to trial coercively. “It would be an unnecessary financial burden, like him [Dj Akademiks] I have already said publicly that I will not voluntarily participate in the trial.”
