Pele tried to CONQUER member of Pandora: reveals why he rejected him

It wasn’t just the world of football that was shocked by the news of the death of Edson Arantes do Nascimento at the age of 82: show business also mourned his loss, for which several celebrities mourned his passing.

Among the many farewells received by the Brazilian star, that of Isabel Lascurain, a member of Pandora, stood out.

In an Instagram post, the 62-year-old singer recalled that they met at the 86 Mexico Soccer Cup and described him as “the best player in the world.”

However, this simple image served to recall the romance that was almost born between the athlete and the artist.

The truth is that this anecdote is not recent: it came to light in March 2020, in a conversation on Gloria Calzada’s YouTube channel, in which they both remembered the 80s.

In 1986, Mexico became the host of the Soccer World Cup, so Pele was in Tierras Aztecas.

As the singer recalled, her first meeting with Edson Arantes do Nascimento was at a dinner in a restaurant in Mexico City, attended by other celebrities: there, the members of Pandora (who have already changed a lot) found the opportunity give him a copy of your disc.

The second time they met was at a party. These two meetings were enough for Pele to fall in love with Isabel Lascurain.

However, Pele did not give up so soon and called home “about three times” more. The situation was such that Isabel Lascurain’s father asked her about what was going on between the two, to which she confirmed that she had nothing to worry about because “I don’t like anything.”

As well as not being attracted to him, the now 62-year-old singer listed as reasons she didn’t want to bond with the footballer their 20-year age gap and the fact that he was “definitely married” at the time.
