The 39-year-old actress announced the news on Instagram this Friday (6/1). In a video, she said she and her husband, Andres Tovar, are expecting their first child.
“Happy kings day! Now, may this 2023 begin full of love and what your hearts desire most, may it be a great year for everyone,” she wrote in the caption, without mentioning the pregnancy, which is revealed only to who watches the video.
Even the video keeps the suspense, with Perroni showing the menu and decorations for the Epiphany. But, little by little, the details begin to come to light, like three socks hanging over the fireplace and a letter telling the news to the fans.
“Now there are three of us. Maite and Andres have left their letter under the tree and their greatest wish will come true: they will be mum and dad. We feel deeply grateful to God and to life for allowing us to form our family. Baby Tovar Perroni”, reads the text taken from the couple’s third sock.
Fans and celebrities celebrated the announcement, including RBD members who left comments on the post.
“Congratulations! How exciting,” celebrated Dulce María, Roberta’s interpreter in the telenovela. “Love, we are waiting for you with all the love in the world, your uncles and aunts. We love you from the first second and I will always be here for you,” said Anahí, who played Mia in the Mexican soap opera.
Perroni, who recently starred in “Desejo Oculto” on Netflix, has another project lined up for the streaming platform in 2023: the series “Três Vidas,” which will debut on February 23. But new productions should appear only after the birth of your baby.
