Memoirs of Prince Harry with the colloquial title “Spare” mistakenly came out in Spain ahead of schedule and expectedly scattered to high-profile headlines. In the book, every chapter is a sensation, from which the royal relatives of the prince will come to their senses for a long time to come. With readers, Harry shared the most personal: about how he lost his virginity, abused drugs, and once almost lost his manhood, having frostbitten genitals during a trip to the Arctic. The prince did not forget to mention his father’s hurtful jokes, his feelings after the death of his mother, Princess Diana, and a serious quarrel with his brother – of course, because of Meghan Markle.

However, among the intriguing revelations and insults to the family in the memoirs, there was a place for good sentimental moments. So, in one chapter, Harry decided to tell how at that time the closest people reacted to the news about Megan’s pregnancy. And at the same time to clarify why there was no better day to announce this than the wedding of his cousin, Princess Eugenie.
According to Harry, he and Megan didn’t want to steal the holiday from Princess Eugenie at all (as Sarah Ferguson later thought the bride’s mat), the calculation was different – before leaving for a tour of Austria, Harry was eager to inform all relatives about an important event at once. Charles was the first to know that Megan was expecting her first child – his couple intercepted in the office in Windsor. According to Harry, he was delighted to see the “big smile” of his father, who learned that he would become a grandfather for the fourth time. After that, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex headed to St. George’s Hall, where a reception was being held, to tell the news to Prince William there. And he recommended immediately informing Kate, who at that time was talking with her pregnant sister at the other end of the room. Describing Kate’s reaction, Harry wrote:
She also smiled broadly and congratulated heartily. They both reacted exactly as I had hoped—just as I wanted them to.

In another chapter, Prince Harry talks about the birth of his one-year-old daughter, Lilibet, and how it compares to the arrival of Archie in 2019. The Duke of Sussex assures that during the first birth Meghan was so nervous that he had to use laughing gas to calm down. But at the birth of his daughter, he was not only maximally collected, but also personally took part in childbirth.
When the doctor said it was only a matter of minutes, I told Meg that the first thing I wanted was for a small child to see my face. We knew it would be a girl. She agreed and shook my hand.

Under the supervision of doctors, Harry helped Lilibet to be born, and then handed her over to Megan.
She said that she had never been so in love with me as at this moment …
The couple announced the birth of their daughter in June 2016. The baby was named after Harry’s late mother and grandmother.
