In an interview on the Poppah podcast, the comedian Marcellus AdnetAged 41, he revealed that he has been in pain sexual abuse by a 5-year-old man saved from rape by his grandfather.
“I was raped when I was 5, but the boy didn’t actually do it. When he was about to do it, my grandfather came. He had left his wallet at home. I saved myself.”
Also while attending, the comedian said he told his parents the story shortly after and they were surprised by the situation. He came to think he might have contracted HIV after the abuse and questioned his parents about the disease. “Then, at 12, I found out there was AIDS. I was like, ‘I have AIDS. My God, I could have AIDS!'” the comedian recalled.
Adnet says it’s important to raise the issue to raise awareness of child sexual abuse and says it’s important to have sex education.
