In a recent interview on the Drew Barrymore show, the actor recounted the accident they experienced during the filming of ‘PS: I Love You’ and that he “almost put out an eye” to the actress.
In 2007, the film ‘PS: I love you’ was released with Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank as the enamored protagonists. Everyone agrees that the fictional couple worked very well on screen because of the tremendous chemistry that existed between the two, but now We have learned that during the filming of the film an accident occurred that took the actress to the hospital.
Butler has revealed in a recent interview on The Drew Barrymore Show that Swank was injured in the head because of him. “We were filming a scene in which I started dancing like an idiot in my underwear and suspenders and they had to come loose and hit me in the face.” But “the piece of metal made a wound on her head, it opened up,” adds the actor, who recalls that “then they took her to the hospital and I stayed there crying.”
The actor recalls how the filming stopped at the moment and he was left baffled and worried about what had happened and how his partner could be: “I hurt Hilary Swank, I almost put out her eye”, of which he stressed that she is “a great person” to work with. Finally the incident remained an anecdote and did not affect the excellent relationship between the two in the rest of the shoot.
