Actor Liam Neeson, 70, who received Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for his role in Schindler’s List, has publicly criticized fellow UFC fighter Conor McGregor. Neeson said that he was a disgrace to his native Ireland.
McGregor is one of the highest paid athletes in the world. He also became the first athlete to compete in the UFC championship in two weight classes at the same time. However, according to Neeson, Conor’s public reputation harms his home country.

Talking about McGregor, Liam turned to insults, calling Conor a “little leprechaun”, and also compared the UFC to a regular bar fight.
I hate the UFC because of the unjustified brutality and the need for people to fight each other. Yes, athletes give their best and are in good physical shape – this causes respect. But McGregor is a disgrace to Ireland, I can’t stand him,” Neeson said.
Earlier it became known that Paramount Pictures is preparing to reboot the comedy film “The Naked Gun”. Liam Neeson is most likely to play the lead role. Akiva Shaffer (“Brooklyn 9-9”, “Pop Star: Never Stop, Never Stop”) has been appointed to direct the project.
