Fashion blogger Anita Gloss has named the top fabric choices for autumn clothing in a style guide shared with her Telegram channel subscribers.

Gloss posted her recommendations on the Russian Fashion channel, a Telegram blog that currently counts 197,000 subscribers. Telegram is one of the most prominent messaging and publishing platforms in Russia, where bloggers regularly publish fashion guides, trend updates, and shopping recommendations to large online audiences.
According to the expert, coats and sweaters crafted from wool and cashmere are essential items for autumn wardrobes. Gloss explained that outerwear and knitwear made from these natural materials will retain their softness over time while holding their shape exceptionally well despite regular wear.
Wool and cashmere are widely regarded in the textile industry as premium natural insulating fibers. Wool provides natural temperature regulation and structure, while cashmere, harvested from the undercoat of cashmere goats, offers high thermal insulation with a lightweight, soft feel.
Key Materials for Autumn Outerwear
Beyond traditional wool knitwear, Gloss recommended that shoppers purchase autumn garments made from corduroy and denim. She also identified leather and suede as excellent choices for autumn outfits.
Elaborating on her choices, Gloss said that wearing a leather trench coat or a suede jacket will protect the wearer against chilly autumn winds. She noted that both materials also elevate an outfit by giving it a high-end, expensive look.
The fashion blogger concluded her advice by highlighting tweed as another standout fabric for the season. Gloss called tweed a classic material that possesses a unique charm, noting that a tweed jacket looks stylish whether paired with simple casual jeans or tailored trousers.
Tweed is a rough, woven woolen cloth known for its durability and moisture resistance, historically favored for British outdoor sporting attire. Corduroy, characterized by its distinctive raised ridges or cords, and denim, a heavy cotton twill, are popular choices for durable casual wear during seasonal transitions.
Earlier Autumn Styling Recommendations
The recommendations from Gloss follow earlier autumn style advice offered to Russian women in August by editors at Fashion Factory School, an institution specializing in fashion business education.
The editorial team at Fashion Factory School outlined five key fashion techniques designed for the upcoming autumn season. Among those recommendations, the editors advised wearing two shirts combined in a single outfit, explaining that layering two shirts makes an outfit both warm and fashionably current.
