Nesquik sneakers: all the fashion bloggers went crazy for this chocolate novelty

Riddle: what do we and ice cream have in common? We all melt in the summer. Heat, deadlines and the desire for a holiday abroad – however, the last points are not about ice cream. Simon Port Jacquemus obviously has the same plans for the hot season: melting and eating ice cream. Or wear it – right on your feet.

The joint collection of two successful brands is an important event in the fashion world. Especially if it’s Jacquemus and Nike. It’s not that we’re huge fans of either giant – although no, we are. You and I are already close – why hide something? In addition, for the past few weeks, all social networks have been buzzing with an overabundance of “jacmus-nikes” in the feeds. The collaboration was announced so “tasty” and persistent that even the most inexperienced waited for it. And in the end, it turned out delicious!

As expected, Simon shared the first shots of the sneakers on his social media. “My first Nikes,” he signed off. Seriously? First? Everyone wanted to see which of the world’s celebrities didn’t have their own pair. But it turns out who!

Based on the Air Humara design from 1997. New is the well forgotten old, isn’t it? This is accepted in the fashion industry, especially since the vintage trend after the Cannes Film Festival has created a crazy demand for retro designs. But we are already digressing from the topic – we return to sneakers. The 1997 model was slightly transformed and diversified with a new palette – it turned out to be the child of a collaboration with elegant retro lines and modern details.

The inspiration for the creation of the new Jacquemus and Nike sneakers was the rocks, the deserts, the shades of sand – Simon hinted at this in his moodboard. Tennis also played an important role for the designer, because it is the convenience of the form, the lightness and the love of movement that are the basis of the collection. Or just Jacquemus loves tennis, which, by the way, is also true.

The colors also make a successful drop: the sneakers are available in chocolate and milk shades, natural and practical from a seasonal wardrobe point of view. Meringue-colored laces, a cookie-cutter sole with whipped cream, you don’t even know if you want to eat it all or buy it all. The sequence has not yet been decided.

However, it will only be possible to do this (not eat, but buy) after the show, which will be held on June 27 in the city of Arles in France. Alas, the salon will be closed, and we can only wait and hope that at least a piece of this chocolate dessert will stay with us.
