Remember – it’s a counter trend! 5 styles of skirts that look ridiculous in 2022

If you’re already ready to argue that it’s inappropriate to outright ban something, we’ll agree. It’s true: most models migrate between trends and return to the fashion Olympus after a while. The most ironic thing is when the bags, jeans and tops, which we said goodbye to each other without regret ten years ago, once again arrived on the shelves. But not all time-traveling things will pass the natural mode selection! And this time we will talk about those models that it makes no sense to give a second chance.

A pencil skirt with a voluminous peplum was left somewhere in the principal’s office at your school – and may she rest there in peace. Don’t get me wrong, the peplum still pops up on the runway, but certainly not associated with silhouettes. Jeans under a skirt – and this is a more understandable phenomenon!

Don’t let Sarah Jessica Parker on “Just So” mislead you: packs have long been seen as bad manners. Yes, sometimes they slip into designer collections, but especially couture, that is to say at the limit of art. For shoots, lookbooks, music videos and the like, packs are totally fine due to their photogenicity and sparkle, but they haven’t been friends with casual looks for a long time.

A hybrid of a sun skirt and a denim mini is, of course, an exciting phenomenon. Tight styles with a lush hem look like the peplum “pencils” you saw above, which means they’re doomed. Of course, experimenting with different silhouettes in the same thing may seem interesting, but it is not at all the case…

It is important to make a reservation here: asymmetry is in fashion and in the summer of 2022 it is at the peak of its popularity. And skirts with an uneven cut are also on the list of the hottest novelties of the season. But the models with a waterfall in the back do not belong to the trend: either we associate the mini with a straight “tail”, as at Prada, or we pay attention to the beveled hem. But mi-midi-mi-maxi is not even worth trying.

There is nothing wrong with layering, it will stay with us for more than one season and will help us a lot in the fall (which, by the way, is just around the corner). But we don’t plan to remove the puff pies from ruffles, fringe, small prints and, what often happens, bottom lining in the coming months. And we do not recommend it to anyone!
