We try to be as local as possible. Our customers demand it, say florists.

Different scents, colors, space for imagination … The work of a florist has a lot to offer. Two young founders of Plantárium Zuzana Pacourková and Martina Tománková he knows about it. Although they originally got together professionally at school so that they could “design interior and smaller exterior greenery in their own way”, in the end they ended up with floristics. “A lot of people around us started getting married and asked if we could tie their wedding flowers,” says the women. Together we talked not only about the Plantarium as such, but also about what is now “in” in this area and what flowers the customers are most interested in.

If the future bride comes to you and wants to order the decoration, how is the meeting going?
We try to tie wedding flowers as much as possible to suit the style of the wedding, resonate with the venue and the personalities of future newlyweds. The agreement takes the form of a personal meeting, which is non-binding. The output of this meeting is a design in pdf with an assortment of flowers, inspirational pictures of bouquets and other decorations and a price offer. Based on this, the details are fine-tuned, usually only in the form of reports, or we can arrange another meeting.

What was the most interesting request you received from the bride?
There were more very interesting of them, because every wedding is unique. For example, the latter flowers for a wedding in the Fata Morgana greenhouse. Contrary to our custom, we chose exotic vegetation. We used the leaves of houseplants. We even sprayed some leaves on powder pink and dove blue, so such floral pop art was created. The bouquet composed only of herbs was also a big challenge.

What types of flowers are in vogue right now?
We tend to have the most demands for natural flared bouquets in the style of meadow flowers. The assortment is then the one we are used to from nature. Chamomile, rye, goldenrod, hemlock, carrot, coconut, chicory, flowering grass and many more. In autumn, berries of hawthorn, rowan, bird’s beak or butterbur.

And what about color combinations? What are they “in” now?
Combinations of white and powder have been flying a lot for several years, but colorful bouquets in autumn colors, dark burgundy and coral accents are also popular.

Do customers prefer Czech ethical types, or do they not solve it much?
Our customers usually do. We believe that they chose us also because we follow the path of seasonal flowers and we try to be as local as possible.

Where do you get flowers from? Do you have your Czech suppliers?
From Czech farms, Loukykvět is one of our suppliers. This year, we are also looking forward to what will come out of our own sprouts, for which we have gained space in Prague in cooperation with the Zygón association. We partially take flowers from the Dutch Stock Exchange if they are from European growers. And we supplement the entire assortment with a collection.

How do you look for flowers in the winter? I can imagine it’s probably more complicated…
Almost anything can be found on the Dutch Stock Exchange throughout the year. It’s more about where the flowers come from and how much they cost. We prefer to go the route of combining fresh flowers from European greenhouses, dried flowers from the previous season and evergreen greenery from outside.

Are you planning any interesting events / news in the future?
We have fancy products for interior greenery, but in the metal age we have not yet had the resources to implement the ideas.
