New fashion inspiration comes regularly every September with the biggest fashion event in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. These days, Mercedes-Benz Prague fashion week will present a selection of fashion designers, including Jakub Polanka. This collection brought fashion elaborated to the last detail and with a deeper thought.
Flashes, glitter and shine are only a small part of what the models from the STORM COMES collection brought. This time, Jakub Polanka was inspired by his balcony and the view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower, as well as natural elements, because he can see a beautiful forest from the other side of his apartment, as he stated in an interview with Forbes magazine. The perfect harmony between the choreography of the models and the music only enhanced the perfect experience.

The basic pieces in black and blue, in gloss and glitter are complemented by details that were thrown around by the models in the second part of the show. The same piece looks completely different on a different outfit and model, which gives us a broader perspective on how to play with models, how to combine and change them.
In translation The storm is coming it symbolizes the moment when you see and feel the moment just before the storm and you have the opportunity to see things differently. In this way, the designer reacts not only to natural elements, but also to what is currently happening in the world. We are all actually at the point of waiting.
The perfect combination of elegance and extravagance caressed our souls, and we definitely rank Jakub Polanka’s work repeatedly among the best that Czech designers are currently producing.
