Quintet of citrus tones + Tahitian gardenia flower + sandalwood

City of Stars is an evening cologne. Jacques Cavallier Belletrud’s latest creation, which manages to combine the freshness of Cologne with the aristocratic charm of perfume. Sparkling citrus tones envelop the skin in bright sunlight and accompany you into a night where anything can happen. City of Stars is an ode of night, a time full of freedom and sensuality.

“This creation is much more extroverted than previous creations,” explains the perfumery master. “It focuses heavily on the unique, sparkling atmosphere of the night in Los Angeles, the moment when the setting sun gives way to the city’s lights and glimpses of the sky. It’s a night full of lights. The light comes from a quintet of citrus scents, which consists of blood orange, lemon, red tangerine, bergamot and lime. These diverse flashes come to life in a spontaneous melody that stimulates the senses. I focused mainly on the blood orange, which is the heart of this noble perfume. It lends it its fruity essence, full of sweetness and pleasant fleshiness. All citrus fruits come from Sicily and Calabria – they are full of the enchanting sparkle of these sun-drenched regions. The sparkle of citrus brightens the night and creates a paradox between light and shadow, which softens the touch of Tahitian gardenia and the subtle tone of monoi. The essence of sandalwood and the caress of powdery musk add sophistication to the perfume. The irresistible combination of ingredients lends this evening Cologne atmosphere a night full of sensuality – which seems to last forever. ”

This fragrance is part of an amazing, honest, long-lasting and original creative dialogue between the Louis Vuitton brand and the artist Alex Israel. This resulted in a saga called Cologne Perfumes, in which one of the greatest personalities of the modern art scene and a renowned perfumery master combine his art.
