Recently, an expert recorded a video in which she explained which dresses are not suitable for a New Year’s party if you are over 40.

These models seem like a great option for the holidays – you don’t need to diet and torture yourself in the gym to get the perfect figure. Bandage dresses have a slimming effect and therefore perfectly correct figure flaws, which is why many women choose this outfit for the New Year’s party.

Shelly thinks it’s not worth it. “Stylish women don’t wear bandage dresses anymore,” she says. “I’m looking at you, Hervé Léger! According to the stylist, the brainchild of this legendary fashion designer, who invented the bandage dress, has more disadvantages than advantages: it’s too tight, too short, too revealing – a continuous “too much”!

Such “exaggeration”, with skillful work on the image, may look good on a young girl, but it will only spoil a mature woman. Plus, bandage dresses aren’t the most comfortable outfit, and after 40, it’s time to realize that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for the sake of looking great.

It would seem that what is wrong with this color combination? In nature, this happens constantly, and no one considers a red apple sticking out of the foliage to be ugly. However, Shelley Pelly thinks these two colors are too… New Year’s.

“It’s literally Santa Claus and a Christmas tree,” she says. – In these colors we were dressed by our mothers at the age of five. But on an adult woman they will look too childish. The stylist believes that such a contrast will not only emphasize the age of the owner of the dress, but also visually add another 10 years to her.

Unfortunately, very often the new pounds come with age. Sometimes women refuse to notice them and continue to wear dresses with deep necklines and many cutouts that reveal the body. Shelly Pelly is sure that it is better to part with such models – they look cheap and tasteless, and who wants to look like that at the most important party of the year?
