Palekh Watch – a work of art on the wrist

Palekh Watch is a Russian brand created to support traditional Palekh art. It gives the masters the opportunity to transmit a piece of their creativity to people all over the world.

Each dial is hand painted by artists from the village of Palekh. The craftsmen preserve the history of the craft and use only traditional techniques to create dials.

The style of Palekh painting has a number of features: smoothness, subtlety of the pattern, shimmering shades of gold, precise drawing of details. However, despite the general patterns, individuality and self-expression can be found in the work of the masters.

Each artist reflects his style, his life story, his feelings in the image. In the very imposition of the colors and the drawing of the lines, the taste and the particular poetry of the master manifest themselves. This is why the works of Palekh are so difficult to repeat.

The unique watches are not only painted, but also assembled by hand. The inside of the clock is just as beautifully crafted as the outside. Reliable Swiss or Japanese movements are responsible for the precision of the movement.

Several times a year, the brand releases limited collections.

“The lacquer miniature is quite strong, but it is impossible to wear it every day, because the pattern fades under clothing. We have managed to achieve this task in the watch: the painted dial is protected by glass, through which, like through a magnifying glass, the beauty of the lacquer miniature is demonstrated without damaging the image! This is how the idea of creating a utilitarian, fashionable and modern accessory was born, respecting all the traditions of Palekh painting,” notes Anna Nesterova, creator of the Palekh Watch brand.
