Dior has reissued the Lady Dior mini bag that Princess Diana brought with her to the Met Gala in 1996. The miniature square model is made of blue satin, and the short handles are decorated with sparkling rhinestones.
On this occasion, the fashion publication WWD asked the event manager from France, Francoise Dumas, to recall the story of Lady Dior. So, in 1995, the first lady of the country, Bernadette Chirac, called Dumas and asked him to choose a gift for Princess Diana herself in the Dior boutique. It was planned that Lady Dee would come for tea at the Elysee Presidential Palace.

Once in the store, Francoise immediately noticed a neat fabric model and asked her to wrap it. And then she called Bernard Arnault to inform her of her choice. And Arno answered her:
Return the bag immediately.
It turned out that at that moment Dior was working on a leather copy. Dom finished the leather version overnight and sent it to Dumas. As a result, the bag became so strongly associated with Princess Diana (and in France she was called no other than Lady Diana) that the accessory was renamed in her honor.
The reissued model can be bought for 5,000 euros (approximately 313,000 rubles). True, the circulation is very limited – only 200 copies. But you can watch her in the fifth season of the series “The Crown” absolutely free.
