Ukrainian television presenter and comedian Fima Konstantinovskiy has revealed that his wife's family home in the Bucha district of Kyiv Oblast was damaged during a Russian attack on the region.

The star of the comedy show League of Laughter had travelled with his wife Liza to stay at her parents' property outside Kyiv, believing that the suburban location would prove safer during ongoing military strikes.

However, the couple found themselves caught in a secondary detonation after ammunition stored near residential buildings exploded. The powerful shockwave created by the blast blew out doors and shattered windows throughout the house.

Konstantinovskiy shared a photograph on his Instagram account showing a home interior littered with broken glass. In his post, he explained that moving outside the city offered little protection when military munitions were placed near residential areas, adding that their decision to stay at the property had failed to keep them out of danger.

The comedian confirmed that everyone inside the house survived without suffering injuries, emphasizing that remaining alive and healthy was the most important outcome. He noted that experiencing the detonation was extremely loud, prolonged, scary, and distressing.

Casualties in Bucha district

The damage to the property occurs amid a wider toll from recent bombardments across the surrounding area. Official reports indicate that the death toll in the Bucha district has risen to 38 people, while four others remain unaccounted for.

Other Ukrainian public figures have also described the impact of recent strikes in the Kyiv region. Singer Svitlana Tarabarova previously posted video footage documenting fire damage and destruction near the capital following a tragic attack.

League of Laughter star

Konstantinovskiy is a widely recognized Ukrainian comedian, television host, and media personality. He rose to prominence through his performances on League of Laughter, a major televised comedy competition and talent show produced in Ukraine.

Bucha district is an administrative division located within Kyiv Oblast, directly northwest of Kyiv. The region has been subject to severe damage and frequent aerial strikes during the conflict in Ukraine.
