Married At First Sight bride Gia Fleur has revealed she was sensationally dropped from former co-star Julia Vogl's Melbourne product launch event at the eleventh hour.
Speaking in a TikTok video, Fleur stated that Vogl was pressured to withdraw the invitation for her and her boyfriend Alan after other guests allegedly expressed discomfort about the couple attending Friday's party.
Fleur spoke with a raspy voice after being struck down by the flu, admitting that the snub had "pissed" her off. However, she repeatedly insisted that she did not blame Vogl for the awkward situation.
Married At First Sight is an Australian reality television dating series in which strangers are paired together by relationship experts and meet for the first time at the altar. Vogl and Fleur both featured on the show, which frequently generates post-season drama among its cast members.
According to Fleur, Vogl initially invited the couple to Friday's launch event after sending her a copy of Mindgasm, a new dating card game inspired by Vogl's ill-fated television marriage. Fleur happily accepted the invitation because she was already staying in Melbourne, the coastal capital of Victoria, and reconfirmed her attendance when Vogl warned that tickets were selling out quickly.
Just two days before the event, Fleur received a direct message explaining that her presence had reportedly made some other attendees uncomfortable. Fleur displayed the private exchange in her TikTok video and encouraged her followers to pause the clip if they wanted to read it.
Fleur chose not to identify the specific guest or guests who had allegedly objected to her attendance, leaving reality television fans with an unresolved mystery. "I think people need to let go of the petty bulls**t. It's been over a year," Fleur said during the clip.
Cast Tensions and Bullying Claims
Fleur argued that she had recently attended Ali Daher's wild birthday party alongside several cast members with whom she had previously experienced tension, proving she could manage such gatherings civilly. She insisted she had no intention of causing a scene at Vogl's event and would have simply greeted people politely before moving to another part of the room.
"No one is going to start some stuff. It's just not going to happen from me," Fleur said. She then accused those responsible of deliberately excluding her while making Vogl feel uncomfortable about hosting her.
Fleur described the exclusion as hypocritical, noting that some former co-stars had previously accused her of bullying during their time on the show. "This is also bullying, to purposely exclude somebody from something," she claimed. "I just think that's petty. It's stupid. Grow up."
Fleur pointed to her recent icy reunion with rival bride Bec Zacharia at Daher's party as evidence that she could share a room with someone without any drama. She explained that the pair walked past one another without speaking or even making eye contact, which she noted was hardly the dinner-party explosion that some guests might have feared.
Fleur also revealed that she had spoken with Joel despite being roasted by him on The Stand, and noted that she enjoyed a surprisingly pleasant conversation with Steven Danyluk. Furthermore, she added that Luke Fourniotis spent much of the night with her and Juliette Chae, something she conceded might come as a surprise to viewers. "People can move on and grow and learn from experiences and just be normal human beings," Fleur said. The outspoken bride maintained that her video was not intended to start another feud, despite delivering several minutes of reality television intrigue.
"I just wanted to put this out there," Fleur explained, before showing viewers the response she sent to Vogl. She concluded by wishing Vogl every success with the event and again stressed that the entrepreneur was not to blame for the revoked invitation. "No hate to Julia," she said. Vogl previously told Daily Mail that the card game was her "most expensive therapy project." She explained that she had wanted to create emotional and intellectual chemistry with Grayson before progressing their physical relationship, but her efforts were poorly received. "People online laughed. My partner didn't like it," she said.
