Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper have sparked rumors they have secretly married after the pair were spotted wearing wedding bands in Paris this week. The supermodel, 31, and the Bafta award-winning actor, 51, have kept their relationship largely out of the spotlight since they began dating.
The couple were seen enjoying a stroll together, with Cooper in a simple V-neck t-shirt and dark trousers and Hadid in a white crop top. Simple bands could be glimpsed on both of their left hands, prompting a wave of fan speculation about their marital status. The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for both Cooper and Hadid for comment.
How the romance began
Gigi and Bradley met through friends in New York after bonding over the everyday chaos of parenting and early mornings with their kids. They first crossed paths at a birthday party for a mutual friend's child in late 2023, and in October 2023 they were spotted having dinner at New York City's Via Carota before leaving in the same car.
"Gigi and Bradley are spending a significant amount of time together when their schedules allow for it," an insider said at the time. Both are parents said to have similar personalities that help them get along.
Hadid has a five-year-old daughter, Khai, with former partner Zayn Malik, whom she split from for good in 2021 after six years of on-off dating. Cooper split from Irina Shayk in 2019 after four years together, and they share a nine-year-old daughter, Lea.
"Underneath it all, [Bradley and Gigi] are both goofy, love to laugh, travel, and spend time with their family and friends. They are genuinely happy and taking things day by day. Fame doesn't phase either one of them and they admire that about each other," a source explained. Another insider said, "The two enjoy spending time together and have introduced each other to the important people in their lives," adding, "People around them think they are great together."
Going public
Cooper and Hadid appeared to confirm their romance in London in January when they were pictured walking hand-in-hand, one month after Cooper bought a home near Hadid's family horse farm in Pennsylvania. The residence is reportedly close to a $4 million farm owned by Hadid's mother, Yolanda Hadid, in New Hope, a town with a population of less than 3,000.
They later attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Paris alongside Swift's now-husband Travis Kelce. Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, later said on his New Heights podcast that he had a "blast" with the pair, calling them "amazing." The couple was also spotted dancing to Stevie Nicks at the BottleRock music festival in Napa, California, during Memorial Day weekend.
In June 2024, they were pictured on a date night in New York filled with public displays of affection. According to Page Six, they were seen "cuddling and kissing" while dining with friends at the Tribeca restaurant Forgione.
Marriage talk begins
By July 2024, just nine months into the relationship, insiders claimed Cooper was already determined to propose. "Bradley has already determined that he is going to ask Gigi to marry him," a source told the Daily Mail. "This is not even a question. They discussed family and marriage early on in their relationship. They have been committed to each other and to their plans for some time and now it is just a matter of when."
The source said Cooper already has the blessing of Hadid's family, friends and even her daughter. On co-parenting, the insider said Cooper has met Malik, that the exes are dedicated parents with no issues between them, and that Malik and Shayk's daughters get along well, with Khai almost acting like a big sister to Lea. "They have every intention of becoming a blended functional family," the source added.
A separate source said Cooper's feelings for Hadid were solidified by her support during his disappointing awards season run for Maestro. A People insider said Lea and Khai like to spend time together: "It's very sweet. They are busy with work, but also prioritise their relationship and daughters."
Gigi speaks out
Speaking to Vogue in March 2025, Hadid said Cooper has given her a normal experience of dating. "Bradley has opened me up to going to the theatre more, and that's something that's so nice to bring back into my life," she said. "You want to give yourself a normal experience of dating and even for my friends who aren't public figures, that's hard. Where do you go? And, what? You just start talking to people?"
She reflected on knowing what she wants in a relationship and finding a partner who also knows what he wants, adding, "I just feel really lucky. Yeah, lucky's the word."
The pair went Instagram official in May 2025 when Hadid included a photo of them kissing in her birthday party album. In the caption, she wrote, "I feel so lucky to be 30! I feel so lucky for every high and low- for all the lessons and gifts both have brought me. To get to feel it all!" and continued, "I'm so lucky to be a mom, friend, partner, sister, daughter, colleague to some of the most unbelievable humans!!"
Asking for her hand
In December, sources said Cooper had asked Hadid's family for permission to propose. "Bradley asked Yolanda for Gigi's hand in marriage," a source told the Daily Mail. "He wants her to know how serious he is about Gigi and how he plans to build a solid family with her in New York." Cooper has also told his mother, Gloria Campano, about his plans, with the source saying, "They are very close and he loops her in on everything."
Hadid has reportedly talked to both her mother and her father, Mohamed Hadid, about becoming Mrs Cooper. "Her mom, Yolanda, is on board so that was a no-brainer. But Gigi telling her father she wants to marry Bradley is a big step, it's much more official," an insider said. The couple reportedly want to marry partly so their children can be raised together, and Hadid has been spotted with Lea on outings, including in April in New York with Cooper present.
Last month, Hadid unveiled a $2,995 necklace honoring Cooper, sharing a close-up photo on Instagram of a 14k yellow gold dog tag pendant custom-engraved with both their first initials and a heart, bordered by diamonds. She credited jewelry designer Sheryl Berkoff Lowe.
Recent public sightings
Despite keeping their romance private, the pair were among the roughly 1,000 guests at Taylor Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden on July 3. They then traveled to Paris, where filming has begun on Cooper's upcoming Ocean's Eleven prequel co-starring Margot Robbie, and where they were later seen wearing the wedding bands that sparked this week's speculation.
Their past relationships
Cooper and Shayk dated from 2015 to 2019 and settled into a co-parenting arrangement friendly enough that they moved just blocks from each other in New York City's Greenwich Village.
Hadid and Malik had a turbulent on-off relationship from 2015 until 2021. News of their final breakup emerged amid claims of an explosive falling-out between Malik and Yolanda Hadid, a former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. The two were said to have had a fiery altercation; Malik denied claims he was physically violent but pled no contest to four harassment charges. He was barred from contacting Yolanda or the security guard who reportedly witnessed the incident and was ordered to complete an anger management course and 360 days of probation.
The dispute reportedly began when Yolanda entered Hadid and Malik's Pennsylvania home without Malik's permission while Hadid was in Paris for work. Malik was accused of pushing Yolanda into a dresser and making a derogatory remark, demanding she stay away from the baby, and was also accused of telling Hadid to defend her partner against her mother.
Hadid and Malik have since built an amicable co-parenting relationship. "Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance," she told Vogue. "That doesn't mean that it doesn't change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other's backs." She said she and Malik are raising Khai with "love, and a feeling of camaraderie," adding, "we're not interested in giving everyone our whole story. What we are interested in is raising our daughter together, with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we've been through together."
