Gogglebox star Baasit Siddiqui has paid tribute to his rarely seen wife Melissa in a social media post celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary.
The 44-year-old television personality marked the milestone by sharing a series of family updates on his Instagram page, including a photo of the couple enjoying a special anniversary breakfast.
Accompanying the smiling breakfast photograph, Baasit wrote that they were celebrating their 14 year wedding anniversary with a cheeky brekkie, while also referencing their first dance song.

Baasit revealed that the couple shared their very first dance as husband and wife to UB40's reggae-pop cover of Can't Help Falling In Love. The English reggae band, formed in Birmingham, released their famous rendition of the classic track in 1993.
Alongside recent pictures, Baasit uploaded a throwback photo from their big day in 2012. The wedding picture showed Melissa wearing a huge tulle gown and sporting dark black hair, in contrast to the light blonde hair she wears today.

Anniversary breakfast and romantic tributes
Reflecting on the milestone, the TV star expressed his surprise at how fast time has passed since they tied the knot.
No idea where the 14 years have gone, Baasit wrote. In the caption, he added that somehow along the way 14 years has passed since they said I do, writing that time really does fly when you are having fun and adding here is to many more.
He added that they celebrated with a yummy breakfast and chatted about all things kids, describing the conversation as something you naturally do as parents.

Baasit has been a regular cast member on Channel 4's hit observational reality series Gogglebox since its inauguration in 2013. The popular British television show features families and groups of friends across the country reviewing and commenting on the week's television broadcasts from their living rooms.
He appears on screen alongside his two brothers, Umar and Raza, and their father Sid. While the brothers and their father have been mainstays of the show for over a decade, their wives have never appeared on-screen.

Family life and Mediterranean holidays
Baasit and Melissa share two children, a daughter named Amelia and a son called Theodore, who were both included in the round up of photographs shared on social media.
Over the summer, the family enjoyed a relaxing trip to Cyprus with their two kids. During their holiday in the eastern Mediterranean island nation, the family went on a picturesque hike to visit the Agioi Saranta Cave Church.
The Agioi Saranta Cave Church, located near Protaras in Cyprus, is a unique stone chapel built inside a natural rock cavern, known for its whitewashed facade and serene location.

Photos from the outing showed the family looking overjoyed as they smiled during the walk. Melissa looked glamorous for the outing in a statement shirt in bright green with a bikini underneath, finishing the look with sunglasses.
The couple regularly share relationship milestones with their social media followers. Last October, when marking their 13th wedding anniversary, they revealed that they had been dating for over 16 years.
At the time, Melissa confessed she could not do life without her partner. Writing on Instagram, she stated that they had been married 13 years today and together for 16.5 years, adding that they had forever to go and calling Baasit the absolute best.

London Marathon challenge and charity support
In addition to celebrating family anniversaries, Baasit and Melissa announced in April 2025 that they would be running in the London Marathon together.
Sharing a sweet family photo on Instagram to announce the news, Baasit expressed his delight at taking on the iconic 26.2-mile course across the capital alongside his wife.
Baasit wrote that he had experienced the privilege of running the London Marathon before, but noted that having the opportunity to share the experience with his wife was very special. He added that Melissa started running in January 2024.

The couple are taking on the marathon to raise money for Mind Charity, a leading mental health organization in England and Wales that provides advice, support, and campaigns for better mental health services.
Offering an insight into his life away from his Gogglebox fame, Baasit explained his career background in education. He shared that for over ten years he worked as a full time teacher, and for the last five years has worked across education with teachers, children, and families.
Reflecting on his work across schools, Baasit highlighted the urgent need for mental health awareness, noting that one thing that continues to be highlighted in all his work is the growing mental health crisis.
He said that the work Mind does to raise awareness and smash mental health stigmas has never been more important, adding that he knows how prevalent the crisis of mental health challenges is across the education landscape.

Baasit noted that whether it is teacher workload, social media challenges in children, or parents' mental health struggles due to the cost of living crisis, it is clear to see people need help more than ever.
The Gogglebox star concluded by stating that he was proud to be running the 2025 London Marathon with his wife to raise money for such an amazing cause.
