Heather Graham was seen arriving in Paris to continue filming The White Lotus season four, after previously working on the HBO series in the South of France. The show is split between the French capital and the Cote d'Azur, with the majority of filming taking place across the French Riviera.

The actress, 56, wore a white dress with a colourful print, paired with metallic sandals, as she arrived to shoot her Paris scenes. She styled her blonde hair in a loose, straight look and wore glamorous make-up, including a red lip.

Filming in Nice with Laura Dern

Earlier this summer, Graham and co-star Laura Dern got back into character to film season four in Nice on a Wednesday. Graham wore a white midi dress with a colourful bow print as she walked through the airport terminal.

The pair headed to the airport in the French hotspot to resume work on the £80 million drama, after production began at the Cannes Film Festival last month. Dern, 59, carried heavy suitcases and wore a leopard print jacket with a striped top for the scenes.

Dern replaced Helena Bonham Carter on the show, after Bonham Carter left the production due to creative concerns surrounding her role.

Filming locations and hotels

HBO Max confirmed last month that the series is shooting on the French Riviera, with filming also taking place in Cannes, St Tropez and Monaco. The hotels used for the production were revealed as the Airelles Chateau de la Messardiere, standing in as the White Lotus du Cap, and the Hotel Martinez, playing the White Lotus Cannes.

The White Lotus du Cap name is a play on the real Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, where Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton carried on an affair while both were married to other people, before returning there for their own honeymoon.

A source connected to the show told The Mail on Sunday that White Lotus skewers the ultra-rich and famous, so there was no better place to film than the actual red carpet at Cannes. The source said the production had gone "guerrilla-style," filming the frenzy around the festival with the show's fictional characters at the centre of it, blending fact and fiction.

Plot and cast

The plot of the season revolves around the stars and producers of rival films nominated for the festival's Palme d'Or award. The cast includes Steve Coogan, Sir Ben Kingsley and Laura Dern, who stepped in for Bonham Carter after she left following less than a week of filming.

Footage posted to social media by fans showed cast member AJ Michalka walking the red carpet. According to the insider, French actor Vincent Cassel will play the manager of the White Lotus du Cap, against a backdrop the source described as involving "multiple murders and deaths."

The source told The Mail on Sunday that Cannes fits the opulence of previous seasons and that the festival can feel like satire, calling it "a summer camp for narcissists with unlimited champagne, yachts, prostitutes, screaming publicists and celebrities with egos the size of houses."

Helena Bonham Carter's exit

Bonham Carter had been set to take a central role in season four before abruptly leaving the project. HBO said in a statement to TMZ that once filming began, it became apparent that the character creator Mike White had written for Bonham Carter did not align once on set.

The network said the role has since been rethought, is being rewritten and will be recast in the coming weeks. HBO added that the network, the producers and Mike White were saddened they would not get to work with Bonham Carter this time, but remained fans of hers and hoped to collaborate with her on another project.

The show's official Instagram account confirmed new additions to the cast last week, captioning a post: "New company is on the way. #TheWhiteLotus season 4 welcomes Ben Kingsley, Max Minghella and Pekka Strang."
