Actors Ivan Yankovsky and Yura Borisov have worked together for the first time, on the film Battle of Engines. The pair later shared their impressions of the shoot and of working with each other.
Yankovsky said the offer came completely unexpectedly. He was in Kamchatka when director Ilya Malanin called him around three in the morning to tell him Borisov would be involved.
Yankovsky said that response was immediate, since he had long dreamed of working with Borisov on screen but had never had the chance before. He added that filming together turned into a genuine creative adventure for him.
Borisov said he too had long wanted to work with Yankovsky, according to Kino Mail.
