Jamie Laing has shared a tribute to his wife Sophie Habboo on Instagram, posting a video montage of clips from their life together and urging his followers to "try to marry your best friend."

The Candy Kittens owner, 37, included an emotional voiceover in the video that said he had "nailed it" when it came to picking a life partner. "The most important decision you're ever going to make in your life, the person you are going to spend every day with on this earth, I picked right. I am so grateful for you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you," the voiceover said.

The montage featured clips of Sophie caring for their eight-month-old son Ziggy, the couple larking around together, and moments of Sophie at work on red carpets, where the pair regularly host premieres and awards events. The words "marry your best friend" and "true story" appeared over the video.

The post follows Sophie's tearful announcement that she is leaving the Wednesdays podcast, which she has co-hosted with her best friend Melissa Tattam since 2021. Sophie said she wanted to balance being the best mother she could be with the other opportunities available to her, and that stepping away from the podcast was the right decision.

In the podcast's latest episode, Sophie told listeners she was handing her co-hosting role to their close friend Ruby Adler, while Melissa would continue to host the show. She paid tribute to Tattam, saying she was glad they had met on Made In Chelsea six years ago and thanking her for co-hosting.

Sophie also shared news of her exit on Instagram, writing that hosting Wednesdays had been "truly the best experience" and that having son Ziggy eight months ago had made her reassess her commitments. She described leaving the podcast as hard but said she was confident it was in the best hands with Melissa and Ruby.

Jamie commented on her post with support, writing "You da best." The couple continue to host their Newly Parents podcast together and have also partnered with GetYourGuide for a summer campaign, travelling to Paris to take part in a vintage car tour and a pastry masterclass with a French grandmother.
