TV chef Jamie Oliver is stepping away from the kitchen to make his acting debut in Finding Jamie While He's Finding Himself, a new social-first comedy microdrama series.

The five-part comedic production sees the celebrity chef star alongside members of his family to celebrate becoming a brand ambassador for Life360, a location-sharing and family safety mobile application.

Jamie Oliver's latest career venture sees him step away from the kitchen and try his hand at acting in a new microdrama comedy series

The series is directed by BAFTA nominee Tom Kingsley, who is best known for his work behind the camera on hit British television comedy series including Ghosts and Stath Lets Flats.

In the new microdrama, Oliver plays a version of himself who spirals into an existential crisis. The storyline begins with the TV chef feeling completely lost after fearing that he has run out of ways to cook chicken, having already created 400 recipes for the bird over his culinary career.

The comedy series sees him spiral through a series of wellness and spiritual trends¿regression hypnosis, a naked woodland cult, floatation tanks

Determined to overcome his creative block, Oliver embarks on a quest for enlightenment that takes him through a series of wellness and spiritual trends, including regression hypnosis, floatation tanks, and joining a naked woodland cult.

The series features self-referential nods to Oliver's career, referencing his 1999 debut television show The Naked Chef as well as his famous public health campaign against Turkey Twizzlers in British school dinners.

Spiritual Quests and Family Tracking

Comedian and actor Will Hislop stars alongside Oliver as his ambitious yet inept life coach, who attempts to guide the chef through his spiritual journey.

As Oliver wanders off in search of personal growth, his wife Jools, 51, and their 15-year-old son Buddy track his every move using Life360. The Oliver family have long used the location-sharing app in their everyday lives to stay connected.

The short-form comedy series consists of five individual episodes, each running between one and three minutes in length. Episodes will be released on a weekly schedule across Oliver's official social media channels.

Social Media Teaser and Dressing Gown Post

Jools Oliver previously hinted at the upcoming comedy series when she shared a photograph on social media showing her husband looking frazzled outdoors. In the image, the chef stood barefoot in a dressing gown with his head in his hand, offering a small, tired smile beside a sign reading, "no clothes past this point."

Twenty-Six Years of Marriage

The launch of the series comes shortly after the couple celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary in June. To mark the milestone, Oliver posted a selection of sweet throwback photographs celebrating his relationship with Jools, a clothing designer, author, and former model.

The trio of loved-up images showed the pair looking fresh-faced in their younger years, with two pictures featuring them cosied up together alongside a striking individual portrait of Jools.

Accompanying the pictures, Oliver paid tribute to his wife's support over the decades. "Just a little @joolsoliver appreciation post because she has truly been my rock for 26 years !! What would I do without her?" he wrote.

The couple were married in 2000 and have since renewed their wedding vows on two separate occasions. They held a renewal ceremony in the Maldives in 2023 before celebrating a second vow renewal in Las Vegas in 2024.
