The mystery blonde spotted getting close to Kevin Costner has been identified as Jennifer Milburn, a 40-year-old lifestyle coach who is 31 years younger than the twice-divorced actor, 71.
The Daily Mail can reveal Milburn accompanied Costner on a domestic supermarket run near his $145 million California compound earlier this month. The pair were seen stocking up on steaks, vegetables, grapefruit juice and cereal at Albertsons in Santa Barbara, where onlookers described them as being "extremely affectionate."
When contacted by the Daily Mail, Milburn confirmed her identity but abruptly hung up when asked whether she and the Oscar-winner were an item.
Milburn's Aspen ties
Although the pair were photographed together in California, it appears a Colorado connection may have brought Milburn into Costner's orbit. She has deep roots in Aspen, the Rocky Mountain resort town where Costner owns his 160-acre Dunbar Ranch.
Milburn, a former Delta flight attendant, spent nearly six years working for celebrity-favorite western retailer Kemo Sabe in Aspen. She has also modeled part-time for local brands and goes by the Instagram handle @theaspenjenn, with posts showing her on horseback and at sprawling ranches for a local jeans brand.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Milburn currently holds a remote position as director of partnerships for The Optimism Company, the firm founded by author Simon Sinek. She has also appeared in a catalog for the pajama brand Aspen Dream.
Inside Costner's Dunbar Ranch
Costner bought the Dunbar Ranch land in 2000 and later transformed it into what has been dubbed "the ultimate luxury retreat," a property so vast it has been likened to a mini town. It has 12 bedrooms and eight bathrooms and can comfortably sleep 27 people.
The supermarket outing
Milburn was seen getting cozy with Costner during the trip to Albertsons earlier this month.
The pair made no apparent attempt to keep the outing under wraps. A casually dressed Costner smiled alongside his companion as she wheeled the shopping cart around the store, with Milburn dressed in a loose white button shirt, denim cut-off shorts and slip-on sandals.
They picked up steaks, vegetables, grapefruit juice and Kellogg's Frosted Flakes during the run.
At the meat counter, Milburn appeared to take charge, pointing out their selections as Costner stood beside her. The two were later seen heading back to Costner's gray Mercedes-Benz in the parking lot, where the actor returned the shopping cart himself.
Costner is known to split his time between his homes in California and Colorado, where he has mingled with other A-listers at parties over the winter holidays. He was previously spotted having drinks with Jennifer Lopez at Kemo Sabe, the same Aspen store where Milburn once worked.
Previous romance with Kelly Noonan Gores
The apparent link to Milburn comes after Costner was reported last year to have quietly found love again with filmmaker Kelly Noonan Gores in what sources described at the time as a "private and casual" romance. The relationship was first revealed in August 2025 after the two spent time together in Aspen, and it was reported they met through mutual friends.
A source told US Weekly at the time: "After such a public and expensive divorce, he's being cautious." The source said the couple saw each other when schedules allowed, often spending time at his Santa Barbara estate, and "love dinners at home, walks on the beach and quiet nights in." Another source claimed Costner was "not looking for a serious relationship or marriage any time soon."
Divorce from Christine Baumgartner
The supermarket outing took place only a few miles from Santa Barbara County Court, where Costner's divorce battle with ex-wife Christine Baumgartner played out in 2023. The divorce became final in February 2024 after a dispute over cash and assets.
Baumgartner, who filed for the divorce, at one point demanded $248,000 a month in support for the couple's three children, Cayden, now 19, Hayes, 17, and Grace, 16. Costner was ultimately ordered to pay Baumgartner, who has since remarried, $63,209 a month in child support and $1.5 million to her personally.
Court documents also showed Costner's Aspen compound cost $1,964,294 to operate in 2022. The property has two large lakes and a dozen ATVs and snowmobiles, which the children had enjoyed riding, the papers stated.
