Love Island winners Julia Majchrzak and Lorenzo Alessi struggled through an awkward This Morning interview on Monday. The appearance came amid fears the couple have already split, just one week after the ITV2 show ended.
The couple won the £50,000 prize during the live final in Mallorca last week. However, they had not been seen together since landing back in the UK until their TV reunion.
Concerns grew after 28 year old clothing business owner Lorenzo was spotted liking Instagram posts from other girls, including a series of snaps of models, when he logged back into his socials. Fans noted the pair had not posted about each other online, with some taking it as evidence they have decided to go their separate ways.
Joint TV interview
During their first joint interview on the daytime show with presenters Josie Gibson and Paddy McGuinness, Josie asked a squirming Lorenzo about the situation. She asked: "Now there's a lot of rumours that you're not together... Are you together, and what is this terminology?"
As Julia sat stony faced beside him, Lorenzo replied: "As we've left the villa, we're still in the same place, exclusively dating..."
Julia cut in, saying: "Yes, we are still dating". Towards the end of the series, the pair had revealed they were exclusively dating and no longer interested in anyone else in or out of the villa.
Lorenzo explained it has been a "crazy few days" since the final. He said he believes "everything needs to settle down" before adding: "we're going to go on some lovely dates".
Date planning
Julia bluntly replied: "Where's the date?" Josie asked if they had used the "L word" yet, to which Lorenzo replied: "No but it's going that way. Feelings are developing, it's in the right position... so I feel like give it some time..."
Lorenzo said he planned to take Julia to a rooftop bar for their first date. She responded by asking: "When?"
Julia later asked again: "When's my date?" before awkwardly questioning Lorenzo: "When was the last time we saw each other?" Lorenzo claimed the date had "a lot of planning involved".

Viewers questioned if there is a Love Island winners curse. One person referenced All Stars winners Samie Elishi and Ciaran Davies breaking up, writing: "Not even a week this is worse than Scamie and Ciaran."
