Film company Paradise will release director Martin Campbell's crime thriller Just Play Dead in Russian theaters on August 20, 2026. Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Green star in the lead roles alongside Eoin Macken, Lee Bordan, Maria Pedraza, Nicole Ansari Cox, and Jason Fernandez. Campbell is known for directing Casino Royale and The Legend of Zorro.
Film synopsis
According to the film's synopsis, federal agents corner wealthy criminal genius Jack Wolf, played by Jackson. Because a dead man cannot be arrested, Wolf plans to fake his death, collect a $30 million insurance payout with his grieving wife Nora, played by Green, and frame her surfer lover Chad, played by Fernandez.
Nora, suffocating under Jack's ruthless control, forms her own scheme to kill Jack for real, frame Chad, and take the money for herself. Jack remains one step ahead and sets a deadly trap that pits the unsuspecting lovers against each other.
