Actress and model Kaia Gerber has revealed she strenuously disagrees with fans who describe her as a doppelganger of her mother Cindy Crawford.
The 24-year-old performer, who followed her mother into the fashion industry, noted how flattered she is by the constant comparison. Speaking in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, the Bottoms star expressed her gratitude while downplaying the physical resemblance.
"In all seriousness, it's an honor when people tell me I look like my mom. I wish I did. I think even on my best days, I'm not even close," Gerber said. "But it means so much to me. I think she's just the most beautiful woman inside and out."
Gerber added that any comparison remains the ultimate compliment. "And so if there's any way that I remind anyone of her, it's just like the largest compliment," she said. The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Crawford for comment.

Mother and Daughter Comparisons
Gerber has forged her own path in modeling and acting after following her mother into fashion. Crawford, 60, achieved lasting matrimony with businessman Rande Gerber, 64, with whom she shares Kaia and a 27-year-old son named Presley.

The young actress recently starred in a Ryan Murphy show alongside Homer Gere, the 26-year-old son of actor Richard Gere. Homer Gere was born to Richard Gere and his second ex-wife Carey Lowell, 65, a former Bond girl married to Gere from 2002 to 2016.

Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere brought back memories of their celebrated parents when they posed cozily together last week at the premiere of their drama series The Shards. In additional industry news, fashion organizers revealed the Met Gala 2027 theme will honor controversial designer John Galliano.

New Series The Shards
Homer Gere co-created The Shards with acclaimed novelist Bret Easton Ellis, adapting Ellis' 2023 novel of the same name. The drama is a roman a clef centered on an upscale, drug-suffused prep school. The series debuted on both FX and Hulu on August 5.
The show features Igby Rigney as Ellis alongside Evan Rachel Wood in a supporting role. While Homer Gere previously acted with Sydney Sweeney on Euphoria and keeps a veil of privacy over his love life, his red carpet appearance with Gerber drew direct comparisons to their parents' past romance.

Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere Marriage
Richard Gere, now 76, was married to Crawford from 1991 to 1995, when both figures were at the height of their stardom. The former couple were first introduced in the late 1980s at a barbecue hosted by fashion photographer Herb Ritts.

At the time of their first meeting, Crawford was 22 with an ascending modeling career, while Gere was 37 and an established A-list film star. In 1991, the year after Gere starred opposite Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, the couple eloped to Las Vegas and sealed their marriage with aluminum foil rings.

Their marriage ended in 1995. Although Crawford described their relationship as a great chapter in her life, she reflected on how their 15-year age gap created a gulf between their sensibilities during a 2013 interview with Oprah Winfrey on Master Class.
"I think a lot of what happened with Richard and I was that I was still 22 and at 22 - as a young woman - I was kind of still figuring out who I was and what I wanted to be and he was already 37," Crawford told Winfrey. "So in some ways, he knew that I was still growing and changing. I just didn't want to hear it from him because at 22 you think you know everything. You think you're already formed. And then you realize, 10 years later, that they were totally right."
Family Background and Relationships
In 1998, Crawford married Rande Gerber, who co-founded Casamigos tequila with actor George Clooney and businessman Mike Meldman. The couple remain married today.

Richard Gere is currently on his third marriage, having wed Spanish publicist Alejandra Silva, 43, who is 33 years younger than her husband.
Kaia Gerber is currently in a relationship with actor Lewis Pullman, 33, the son of Sleepless in Seattle actor Bill Pullman.
