Kate Moss's modelling agency has recorded its first ever loss in 12 years, with newly published accounts showing a £1.8 million downturn over the year to last July.
Retained earnings at the Kate Moss Agency fell to £3.3 million from £5.1 million, a drop equivalent to roughly £35,000 per week. The net worth of the business had previously increased annually, peaking at £5.1 million in 2024.
A source said Moss, 52, set up the agency in 2014 because she was sick of paying huge commission to model agents. The company represents both Kate and her daughter Lila, 23.
Lila made her official runway debut in 2020, opening and closing the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2021 show. She has since fronted campaigns for Gucci, Fendi, Marc Jacobs Beauty and YSL Beauty.
Netflix Interest
The financial news comes as a production company is said to be pitching a Netflix docuseries about Kate Moss to the streaming giant. According to The Sun, the project would follow documentaries the platform has produced featuring Victoria Beckham, 52, and Kylie, 58.
An insider told the publication that although Moss is known for a never complain, never explain approach to life, there are signs she might now be willing to discuss her life in a way she never has before. The same source said producers are desperate to find a way to make the series happen, citing the success of previous TV autobiographies on David and Victoria Beckham, Kylie and Gordon Ramsay as potentially persuasive.
The Daily Mail said it contacted Netflix and Kate's representatives for comment. A docuseries would follow Moss's appearance in the 2024 Apple TV documentary In Vogue: The 90s, in which she spoke about her modelling career.
