Katie Holmes brought her new boyfriend, artist Jason Bard Yarmosky, to designer Michael Kors's 45th anniversary dinner in East Hampton, New York, on Thursday night.
The 47-year-old actress, who went Instagram official with the 38-year-old last week, looked smitten as he met and mingled with her famous friends, marking another step in their relationship.
Holmes wore a royal purple, ankle-length, draped dress for the occasion, following the color block trend with square-toe red heels and a cream-colored clutch. Yarmosky complemented her in an all-black outfit made up of a fitted crew neck sweater and tailored trousers.
The couple cozied up for photos later shared on Kors's Instagram account and reposted by Holmes.
Mingling with Naomi Watts and Christie Brinkley
Among the friends Holmes's boyfriend rubbed shoulders with were actress Naomi Watts and model Christie Brinkley. He appeared perfectly at ease among his new girlfriend's circle, just weeks after the pair went public with their romance.
Going public after a Ferragamo event
Three weeks earlier, the Dawson's Creek alum broke her silence on the relationship when she and Yarmosky attended a Ferragamo pop-up event in Bridgehampton, New York, both dressed in coordinating navy blue outfits.
Asked about their matching looks, Holmes told Elle magazine, "I think we just have similar taste."
An earlier appearance at a film premiere
In early July, the couple attended the premiere of The Invite in East Hampton. They were reportedly hand in hand as they arrived at the screening together.
An eyewitness told People that Yarmosky "was whispering in her ear, and she was laughing," adding that "they seemed very easy together and there was a smile on her face all night."
Who is Jason Bard Yarmosky
Holmes met Yarmosky at a Tribeca Festival dinner in New York City in June. He is a native New Yorker whose work highlights "themes of aging, time, and memory, subjects the artist has been fascinated with since childhood," according to his official website.
Born in 1987, Yarmosky graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2010.
Before Yarmosky, Holmes dated musician Bobby Wooten III, chef Emilio Vitolo Jr., and Jamie Foxx. She shares daughter Suri Cruise, 20, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, 64.
