Kelley Wolf has publicly apologized to her estranged husband Scott Wolf after revealing she suffered from a severe drug-induced mental health crisis.
In a lengthy message shared to Instagram on Friday, the 49-year-old life coach admitted putting the actor and their family through a nightmare amid their ongoing divorce and legal proceedings.
Kelley revealed she was diagnosed with breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis following a psychological breakdown, adding that nothing she said in the past was based in truth or reality.

Apology and Mental Health Diagnosis
Reflecting on the onset of her condition, Kelley described how her perception of reality deteriorated over the past year before she sought professional help.
She wrote on Instagram: "Wow... I have taken about 100 deep breaths to write this. How do I even start? It's been a year since I recognized what everyone around me could see: I was not well, and I needed help."
Kelley added that she felt like her brain had been hijacked and the world was moving at the speed of a freight train, stating she had no awareness of her actions and was completely delusional.
Following a year of working with doctors, therapists, psychologists, and healers, she received a formal medical diagnosis explaining her behavior.
She explained that what she experienced was diagnosed as breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis caused by stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts, and hallucinogens mixed with prescribed medications.
Describing the combination of factors as a perfect storm, Kelley stated that while she would not recount all of the chaos, she felt a burden to publicly say she was sorry.

Delusional Behavior and Personal Impact
Addressing the 58-year-old Party of Five alum directly in her post, Kelley expressed deep regret for the emotional distress caused to him and their three children.
She wrote: "My husband of 20 years was taken through a nightmare that wouldn't even fly in a movie script; it was so brutal. The things I did, said, wrote and posted caused profound harm and were not based in truth or reality, and they caused pain I could never imagine to the people I love the most."
She acknowledged that her brain turned on her, leading her to make accusations and perform actions that now make her shudder. Having spent her life believing in love, hope, kindness, and compassion, she lamented becoming cruel, vicious, and mean, noting that in mania and psychosis people can attack the ones they love most and believe grand and delusional ideas.
Kelley stated she will never be the same after causing enormous pain, adding that there will not be a day she does not thank God for Scott and their children.
She told Wolf: "It was my job to protect you, honor you, and keep you safe, and I became the cause of your heartbreak. I am sorry. You never gave up on me, and you fought like hell until you landed me in safe harbor. I owe you my life."

Divorce Proceedings and Legal Troubles
The public apology follows a tumultuous period for the couple, who were married for 21 years before Wolf filed for divorce in June 2025.
Shortly after the divorce filing, Kelley suffered a severe psychological breakdown that resulted in an involuntary psychiatric hold and erratic behavior on social media.
In the aftermath of the breakdown, Wolf was granted temporary custody of their three children alongside a temporary protective order, which was subsequently dissolved following a brief agreement between the pair.
However, legal troubles escalated in August 2025 when Kelley was arrested and faced misdemeanor charges for online harassment and doxxing after sharing Wolf's personal cell phone number on her Instagram account.
Subsequent protective orders were re-imposed following the escalation, before Wolf dropped the order in late 2025 after the pair reached new custody and visitation terms.

Medical Treatment and Community Apology
In September 2025, Kelley voluntarily entered a residential mental health treatment facility to address her condition.
Speaking at a court hearing prior to her admission, Kelley said: "My brother is taking me. It's fantastic. It's a great place. I recommended it all the time as a mental health professional myself, so September 12, I will be there for a month. I hope that helps."
In addition to apologizing to her family in her recent statement, Kelley expressed gratitude to medical professionals and supporters who offered encouragement, writing that she will work hard to pay it forward and never give up on the power of love.
She also offered an apology to friends and community members in Park City, Utah, where the family has lived for two decades.
She wrote: "This has been our home for 20 years, and hurting you was like burning down my own house. Thank you for loving our family and continuing to prove why this is a place where we found the meaning of home. I am sorry. Your grace has humbled me."
Reconciliation Efforts and Family Support
Wolf responded to his estranged wife's public statement by leaving five red heart emojis in the comment section of her Instagram post.
In February 2026, months before the post, the former couple reunited for a family outing at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles.
Wolf shared a photograph from the theme park visit on Instagram at the time, writing: "Healing. Thank you @unistudios for an epic day at the park! So much fun!"
The actor had previously demonstrated support for Kelley in October 2025 by sharing a public birthday tribute on social media, writing: "Happy birthday to you."
Scott Wolf is best known for starring as Bailey Salinger on the television drama Party of Five. He and Kelley were married for over two decades and share three children together.
