Kelly Osbourne says she does not agree with her mother Sharon's public support for Tommy Robinson, speaking during an interview on the National Television Awards red carpet on Tuesday night.

Asked by Attitude magazine about her 73-year-old mother's backing of the activist's Unite The Kingdom rally, 41-year-old Kelly said they do not share the same view.
"What? I don't agree. I don't agree with my mum, no," she said. "That's one thing that I can say I don't agree with her on. It's hard because I love my mum, but I also have to understand that she's entitled to her own opinions as well."

"It's really hard when it comes to politics and things like that, but I... that's not for me," she added.
Sharon's support emerged in May when 43-year-old Robinson promoted his anti-immigration rally in London on social media. She replied to his post: "See you at the march."

Following the post, Centrepoint, a charity offering support to young homeless people, cut ties with Sharon.
The organisation released a statement which read: "This sort of event does not align with our values. Centrepoint has a proud history of supporting young people, whatever their background, ethnicity or religion."
"If we want young people to thrive in this country, then we need to ensure our society continues to allow them to live without fear and able to access the opportunities they need to start education or work and leave homelessness behind," the statement continued.
While Centrepoint thanked Sharon for supporting its Omaze campaign, it confirmed she was no longer an official ongoing ambassador and that they had no plans for future collaboration.
LGBTQ+ community support
Unite The Kingdom has been associated with anti-immigration sentiments and hostility toward minority groups, such as the LGBTQ+ community.
During her red carpet interview, Kelly expressed strong support for LGBTQ+ people.
"The LGBT community means everything to me. I wouldn't be me without them," she said. "It was the trans community that taught me about bravery. I was always of the understanding that my mum was like of the same opinion as me."

Kelly said she felt sad realising she and her mother might not align on transgender issues, but attributed the difference to her mother not knowing enough on the matter.
"I don't know if my mum knows enough trans people to make a fair judgement on anything to do with that sort of thing," she said. "Whereas for me that is my world. And to be born in a body that doesn't belong to you, I couldn't imagine anything worse."
Sharon has previously suggested implementing age limits for gender-affirming care decisions, proposing it might be a phase.
Attributing her mother's views to a lack of education, Kelly said that during one-to-one conversations, Sharon "gets it," adding that her comments were "not in any way against" the trans community.
Political ambitions in Birmingham
Sharon has expressed more outspoken political views recently.
In February, the Tories invited her to stand as a candidate in local elections in Birmingham, running against convicted terrorist Shahid Butt.
Sharon stated she would move to Birmingham and enter the ballot for the inner-city Sparkhill ward to stop Butt from securing a local council seat.
After viewing a social media video featuring Butt, she wrote on Instagram: "This has nothing to do with racism. I think I'm gonna move to Birmingham and put my name down for the ballot to be on the council."
She added, "I'm serious," though the original post was later removed from Instagram.
While she does not live in the Midlands, Sharon has strong ties to the region through her late husband Ozzy, who was born in nearby Aston.
