Keri Russell attended the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2027 fashion show at the Louvre in Paris with her 13-year-old daughter Willa on Oct. 6, marking the teenager's first public appearance.

The 13-year-old appeared as the spitting image of her Emmy-nominated mother during the outing. Willa wore a light red skirt paired with a matching zip-up sweater, black heels, a red purse, and her hair styled in a sleek ponytail. Russell matched her daughter's fashion-forward look by sporting an oversized white button-up shirt, a short black skirt, black heels, and a Louis Vuitton handbag.

The high-profile fashion presentation took place at the Louvre, the historic French national museum located on the Right Bank of the Seine in Paris. The event formed part of Paris Fashion Week, the prestigious bi-annual gathering that sits alongside London, Milan, and New York as one of the global industry's major collection showcases.

Family background
The fashion show marked the first public appearance for Willa, whom Russell shares with her ex-husband, Shane Deary. Russell and Deary were married before divorcing, and the former couple also share a 19-year-old son named River.

In addition to her two children with Deary, Russell is a parent to 10-year-old son Sam with her current partner, Welsh actor Matthew Rhys. Russell and Rhys famously starred together as undercover Soviet KGB officers in the acclaimed television drama series The Americans before beginning their real-life romantic relationship.

Rejection of Felicity
Although Willa was eager to join her mother for a trip to France for Paris Fashion Week, she has proven far less interested in watching the screen performances that made Russell famous. In particular, Willa declined to watch Russell's breakout series Felicity, the classic American collegiate drama that aired for four seasons from 1998 to 2002.

Russell recounted her daughter's reaction to the show during a 2023 appearance on the ABC late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The actress explained that she attempted to introduce Willa to the program about a year prior when her daughter was looking for something to watch. "My daughter about a year ago - she's kind of mature for her age, and she was bored one day - I said, 'Hey, Willa, I did this show about this college girl, and you might think it's cool. It's really sweet,'" Russell recalled on the show.

Russell explained that she downloaded an episode of the series from Amazon to show her daughter. However, the viewing session ended almost immediately. "After about 15 minutes, she turned it off and she went, 'Ugh, mom, it's so cringy,'" Russell revealed to host Jimmy Kimmel. "She was actually grossed out by me. I was like, 'Oh, I thought you might like it.'"

Rather than warming to the beloved collegiate drama, Willa reiterated how "cringy" she found the series. She questioned why her mother expected her to enjoy watching her earlier acting work, asking Russell: "Why would you think I'd want to watch your college experience making out with weird boys and stuff?"

Balancing career and family
Despite Willa's refusal to watch her mother's television catalog, Russell has emphasized the importance of maintaining a close relationship with her children while managing her acting career. Russell currently stars in the political drama series The Diplomat, playing United States ambassador Kate Wyler. Because the series films on location in New York City, Russell has been able to remain close to her home and family.

In a 2024 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Russell expressed gratitude for the New York filming schedule, which allows her to balance her professional duties with parenting. "I am enormously grateful, because I still have kids at home, and so does Deborah Cahn, who writes the show," Russell told the publication, referring to the series creator and writer.

Russell noted that maintaining a steady home life was a priority for both herself and the show's creative team during production. She explained that it was "immensely important to be close to home and not leave your kids to be raised by wolves."
