Formula 1 driver Kimi Antonelli was spotted relaxing in Sardinia during the mid-season break, sharing a luxury yacht with a mystery woman, after finishing the first half of the season with a 50-point championship lead.
The 19-year-old was photographed taking a dip in the sea with the unnamed woman, who wore a burgundy triangle bikini. He was seen taking her hand and helping her back onto the vessel. The pair also played bat and ball on the back of the boat.
Antonelli was joined on board by his family, including his father Marco Antonelli, with whom the group were seen chatting on the sun deck.
Split from ex-girlfriend
The outing comes after Antonelli's ex-girlfriend, Eliska Babickova, announced at the start of the season that the couple had parted ways after two years together. Babickova, who is also a professional driver, shared a statement on Instagram saying the pair had spent February trying to figure out where the relationship stood.
In a video, Babickova said she and Antonelli had been uncertain about the relationship themselves throughout February, which was why she had not addressed the split sooner despite ongoing speculation. She said she wanted to set the record straight and end what she called false narratives circulating online.
Babickova said she was the one who ended the relationship and was clear that neither party had been unfaithful. She said no other people were involved and that it was wrong for anyone to assume otherwise, calling such speculation misrepresentative of both of them and what their relationship had been.
Record-breaking season
On the track, Antonelli is having a standout campaign in his second year in Formula 1. He currently leads the Drivers' Championship with 11 races completed and 11 remaining, ahead of drivers including Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.
At the start of 2025, Antonelli joined the Mercedes team as Russell's teammate, replacing Hamilton. He scored his maiden victory at the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix, becoming the first Italian to win a Formula 1 race since Giancarlo Fisichella in 2006.
Max Verstappen described Antonelli's first half of the season as rock solid and really impressive, noting how few mistakes he had made at just 19 years old.
