Krys Marshall, who plays Secret Service Special Agent Nicole Robinson on Hulu's Paradise, is keeping her preparation for the 2026 Emmy Awards on Sept. 14 simple. The actress told E! News her routine centers on hydration, facials and sleep rather than injectables or spa treatments.
"I try to drink a lot of water and just make sure that I'm really well hydrated," Marshall exclusively told E! News' Erim Lim Rhodes. She added that she skipped a med spa appointment altogether because she is "not a Botox or filler girlie."
"I don't do things that maybe some other folks do," she explained, "but for me, it's mostly just facials, trying to get some good rest."
The 37-year-old also walked through her at-home skincare routine ahead of television's biggest night. "I love those hydrating eye patches by Peter Thomas Roth," she said. "I started using this new Korean skincare brand called Yepoda that is very clean. It's all vegan, and it's really gentle on the skin. I love that."
"I'm pretty low-maintenance," Marshall summed up, "for the most part."
That changes once the cameras are rolling for the ceremony itself, when Marshall turns her attention to glam. "I got my polish," she said. "I like to get makeup on. I love a full glam, so that's fun."
Paradise's three Emmy nominations
Paradise is nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at the 2026 Emmys. Marshall's co-stars Sterling K. Brown and James Marsden are also up for awards, with Brown nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Marsden for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Julianne Nicholson rounds out the show's acting nominations with a nod for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
The show has already picked up hardware this awards season. Shailene Woodley, also part of the Paradise cast, won Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys on Sept. 6.
Balancing motherhood with awards season
Marshall said the most important part of her preparation has little to do with skincare. The actress, who shares a 3-year-old son and a 7-month-old son with husband Ted Dolan, said her family has kept her grounded through a hectic stretch that took her from set to Spain to New York Fashion Week.
"I started season three eight weeks after my baby was born, so that was crazy," she recalled. "We wrapped and went to Spain for a few weeks to just really spend time with my kids and be with my husband and family, and that was beautiful."
"Then, I popped into New York Fashion Week," she continued. "So my getting Emmys ready has been a little discombobulated, but I'm finding ways to look after myself."
Marshall said returning to her role as a mother helps her reset before high-pressure days in the spotlight. "On big days where there's a lot of folks asking questions and lots going on," she explained, "it's nice to, the night before, give them a bath, read them stories, and just remember, 'Oh, this is who I am outside of all this stuff.'"
Marshall and the rest of the Paradise cast are set to walk the carpet at the 2026 Emmy Awards on Sept. 14, where the series will compete for Outstanding Drama Series alongside nominations for Brown, Marsden and Nicholson.
