Australian pop star Kylie Minogue, 58, has posed for the September cover of Vogue Australia and revealed details of a night out with Margot Robbie.
The singer appeared on the cover of the high-fashion publication wearing a shirt featuring lettering that read, 'I work nights', while showing off her youthful appearance for the September issue.
Inside the magazine, the hitmaker donned a sheer, lace gown with a corseted bodice in an image from the accompanying photoshoot. She also flaunted her fit figure in a black and white image in which she flashed her underwear in a fitted workout ensemble.
Minogue launched her music career in the late 1980s after starring on the Australian television soap opera Neighbours, going on to become a global pop icon. Vogue Australia, established in 1959, is the nation's premier monthly fashion magazine.
Meeting at Chateau Marmont
During the wide-ranging interview, Minogue shared an anecdote about a night she spent in Los Angeles with fellow Australian Margot Robbie before Robbie shot to massive international fame.
Minogue said she heard the Australian actress would be in town and suggested they meet up at the famous celebrity haunt, Chateau Marmont, in Hollywood. She explained that she had seen Robbie there a couple of days earlier having a meeting and thought she might be on her own.
In response to a question asking who was the funniest Australian she had ever gotten drunk with, Minogue replied: 'Probably a few. The first time I met Margot we definitely had a few drinks. It was just the two of us at the Chateau Marmont.'
Minogue explained that she reached out around 2016, prior to Robbie starring in Barbie: 'So I reached out and said, "Hey, there's another Aussie in town. Fancy meeting up?"'
She added that Robbie later told her she had assumed the invitation was to do a charity event or work project. However, Minogue said it was simply two Australians connecting in Los Angeles.
'So we had a … well … I don't know if we got fully p*ssed, but we definitely had enough to take the edge off,' Minogue said of their evening out.
Minogue noted that while she used to get up to 'plenty of mischief' on big nights out, including with Australian acting brothers Nash Edgerton and Joel Edgerton, she takes it easy these days.
'It's actually been a long time since I've really been drunk. That feels like a younger person's game now,' she said.
Robbie also began her acting career on Neighbours before achieving international stardom in films including The Wolf of Wall Street and Barbie. Chateau Marmont, located on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, is a historic hotel famous as a retreat for entertainment figures.
Celebrating Music Milestones
The photoshoot and interview come after Minogue shared throwback snaps in her iconic white jumpsuit from her hit single 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' 25 years on, celebrating the song reaching one billion streams on Spotify.
Released in 2001, the disco track was written and produced by Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis. The single achieved major global commercial success, reaching number one in 40 countries worldwide.
The song became synonymous with Minogue's plunging hooded white jumpsuit. Created by London-based designer Fiona "Fee" Doran under the label Mrs Jones, the costume remains one of the most celebrated fashion moments in pop history.
