Larry Emdur struggled to contain his laughter on Monday's episode of The Morning Show while interviewing Glasgow woman Summer Roberts about her continually growing breasts.
Appearing alongside co-host Kylie Gillies on the Australian television program, the seasoned presenter repeatedly fought back giggles as the 28-year-old guest revealed she now earns £150,000, or approximately $300,000, a month on OnlyFans.
Roberts lives with macromastia, a rare condition in which her breasts are larger than average and continually grow. After previously struggling with her confidence, she told the hosts that she has embraced her unique features after finding financial success on the subscription platform.
Emdur has decades of on-air television experience in Australia, hosting major network game shows and co-presenting Seven Network's daytime program The Morning Show with Gillies since 2007. Despite his veteran status, he struggled to keep his composure once the Monday interview turned to his guest's career.
Summer Roberts and her macromastia condition
During the interview, Roberts explained that her condition began when she was just eight years old and her breasts suddenly grew to a C cup almost overnight, leaving her parents desperately searching for answers.
"I literally woke up one day and there they were," she told the hosts, adding that she suddenly "had C cups."
"I went to school the next day and everyone was like, 'What's going on?'" Roberts recalled.
Now standing just 4ft 11in tall, Roberts said her breasts have continued growing throughout her life. When her parents first sought medical advice during her childhood, doctors initially dismissed their concerns as a normal part of puberty.
Macromastia, also known in medical literature as gigantomastia or breast hypertrophy, is a rare benign condition involving the excessive growth of breast connective and glandular tissue. When it begins in childhood or adolescence, it is often linked to heightened tissue sensitivity to normal hormone levels rather than an excess of hormones in the body.
The Morning Show melonade joke and OnlyFans earnings
Emdur maintained a straight face while Roberts described the day-to-day hardships associated with her condition. Those challenges included being told to "cover up" on her Qantas flight to Australia, where Qantas operates as the national flag carrier on long-haul international routes.
However, the presenter's composure slipped when the conversation shifted to how Roberts turned her condition into a lucrative career on OnlyFans.
"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade," Gillies quipped during the segment, prompting Roberts to cheekily interject: "Or melons, make melonade!"
Emdur burst into laughter on set before promptly containing himself so the interview could continue.
Roberts went on to share her monthly earnings, revealing that she brings in an astonishing £150,000, or approximately $300,000, a month through the subscription platform.
"That's a lot of melonade!" Gillies quipped in response, while Emdur could be seen fighting back another fit of giggles as the interview continued.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in London, OnlyFans is an online subscription platform where creators charge followers monthly fees and tips for access to photos and videos, retaining 80 percent of the revenue generated by their accounts.
Hospitality shift incident and Scotch Dolly account
Roberts, who comes from Glasgow, Scotland's largest city, explained that her OnlyFans career began after a particularly upsetting incident while she was working in hospitality.
She said she had been working a gruelling 14-hour shift at a restaurant when two male customers began making inappropriate comments about her appearance. The men repeatedly compared her to the "Scottish Dolly Parton", a reference to the American country music singer famous for hits such as Jolene and her signature glamorous image.
Despite Roberts giving the two men three warnings over their behaviour, they refused to stop, forcing her to call on the restaurant's chef to intervene.
After the customers were finally kicked out of the restaurant, Roberts retreated to the kitchen and burst into tears. In an unexpected twist, her chef suggested that she turn the unwanted attention into a business opportunity.
"He takes my phone, takes my ID, makes me an OnlyFans and goes, 'I called you Scotch Dolly, because they kept calling you the Scottish Dolly Parton'," she recalled.
Roberts said she made US$800 overnight after her account was approved and never looked back. She quit her hospitality job just two weeks later as her earnings continued to snowball.
Typical OnlyFans income and family support in Scotland
Despite her extraordinary monthly earnings, Roberts was keen to stress during her television appearance that her financial success is not necessarily typical of the platform.
"The majority of people on OnlyFans make $200 a month, so it's not super, super easy," she explained, pointing to the steep income gap between top earners and standard creators on the site.
Roberts added that her family back in Scotland has been supportive of her career, with her younger sister particularly enjoying the perks of having a successful OnlyFans star in the family.
"My little sister loves it because she's a nepo baby now," Roberts joked, using the popular culture term for relatives who benefit from a family member's fame or wealth.
