Lauren Silverman reflected on her "long, lovely summer" with partner Simon Cowell and their son Eric, 12, in a sweet Instagram post shared on Saturday.
The socialite, 49, gave fans an insight into their break as the family holidayed abroad and enjoyed quality time together. In one photo, Cowell, 66, and Silverman put on a cosy display at a cafe, while another showed the couple beaming during an outing with Eric.
She also posted photos with her other son, Adam, 20, whom she shares with her ex-husband Andrew Silverman. Silverman and her former husband were married for ten years before their split.

Alongside the photos, Silverman wrote a lengthy caption reflecting on the changing of the seasons. "Is September the new January? I always find September a little emotional," she wrote. "Maybe it's because it feels like a little bubble and then suddenly it's over. The long days. The late nights. The lack of routine. The feeling that time has slowed down just a little. And then almost overnight... September arrives."

"Everyone starts going back. Back to school. Back to work. Back to early mornings and packed calendars and somehow we're all expected to just pick up where we left off," she continued. "I've been lucky enough to have had a really lovely, long summer. I've been away, spent time with family and friends, made memories I'll be grateful for and I know that kind of summer isn't everyone's reality."
Silverman went on to say that September feels "significant" for her this year as she works on projects and oversees a "lot of change" in her life. "Maybe this September isn't getting back to the person I was before summer. Maybe it's about finding a new rhythm for the person I am now. I quite like that," she wrote. "So here we are. New beginnings. Old commitments. New ideas and probably a slightly overwhelming number of emails."
Fans responded warmly in the comments section, with one writing, "I definitely relate to this," and another adding, "Lovely post. I love September as a new start more than the new year."
Simon Cowell's back surgery
Cowell is reportedly set to undergo back surgery, six years after fearing he would never walk again following a terrifying e-bike crash. The music mogul broke his back in 2020 after being thrown from an electric bike while testing the vehicle at his home in Malibu, California.

He underwent extensive surgery after the accident, including having a metal rod fitted in his back to stabilise it, and he has overhauled his lifestyle in the years since.

TMZ has reported that Cowell's upcoming procedure will force him to sit out of America's Got Talent for several weeks. Representatives for Cowell have been approached for comment.

The X Factor's possible return
Meanwhile, Cowell's show The X Factor is reportedly set to return, seven years after it was retired from screens. According to sources, ITV is in talks with production company Talkback Thames about bringing the singing competition back in a bid to boost viewing figures.
The X Factor pulled in 19 million viewers during its heyday and helped launch the careers of contestants including Leona Lewis and One Direction, who went on to become household names. After 15 series, the show was shelved by ITV and went on to spawn two spin-offs, X Factor: Celebrity and X Factor: The Band.
It is thought that head judge Cowell is likely to return in some capacity should the show be revived. ITV has been contacted for comment.
