March is the birthday month of Carlo. 8 years ago, the restaurant opened its doors occupying a discreet and charming house in the heart of Villa Maddalena. Since then, Carlos has grown and gained a second location in Jardins, maintaining his aim: to use the individual pizzas, slowly fermented, as a vehicle to present the work of carefully chosen artisans.

To celebrate the trajectory of nearly a decade of activity, Luciano Nardelli, the Argentinian in charge of the house, invited his compatriot Leo Lanussol (one of the creators of the iconic Proper, a restaurant that operated until 2020 in Buenos Aires) to command the Kitchen Carlos Jardins on two special evenings. “We’ve wanted Leo to come and cook here for a long time, but the pandemic has postponed our plans. I’m happy it finally worked out,” says Luciano.

The commemorative dinners will take place on March 1 and 2 and will be open to the public, with two complete menus, with four stages each. The first focuses on vegetables and the other includes ingredients from the sea, such as anchovies from Ilhabela and fish roe. It costs R$190 per person, and to make the experience even more special, you can opt for a relaxed wine pairing: each glass costs R$35. Reservations must be made by calling (11) 3088-0666.
