Breaded steak without frying, crispy and healthier

INGREDIENTS

Beef Steaks:

  • 400 g of flié mignon or sirloin steak, cleaned and fat-free.

Baked Milanese, without frying:

  • ¼ cup wheat flour
  • 1 egg, diluted in a little filtered water
  • salt
  • pepper (optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon of paprika
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs or panko flour, or enough for breading.

PRE-PREPARATION:

  1. Gather all the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  2. Start by preparing and seasoning the steaks (see preparation).
  3. Preheat the oven to 220°C.

PREPARATION:

Steaks (this step must be done before continuing pre-preparation):

  1. Cut the meat into steaks – 2 units per person, about 100 g each.
  2. Line the cutting board with cling film and also the meat batter.
  3. Place steaks on cutting board, cover with plastic wrap. Blend to become thin, evenly thick.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Continue pre-preparation.

Baked Milanese:

  1. Put the flour in a bowl, in another the beaten egg with a little salt and pepper (optional) and in another the breadcrumbs or panko mixed with the paprika.
  2. Coat the steaks first in the flour, then in the beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumbs or panko.
  3. Squeeze them well so that they are well breaded.
  4. Arrange on one or more buttered trays, without overlapping them.
  5. Drizzle corn oil on each one, in zig zags and quick strokes.
  6. Cook for 25 minutes. Open, turn steaks and swirl pan and continue for another 15-25 minutes or until well browned.
  7. Remove, dry with paper towels.

FINISHING AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Serve with a salad dressing of your choice, on platters or mount directly onto plates.
