“Financial education consists in understanding one’s relationship with money. Indeed, it is a means of liberation, especially for us women, to establish our independence and learn about any problem of the financial market, avoiding falling into traps. For me, financial education is a way to emancipate yourself”, she underlined, who in addition to being a financial promoter is an administrator and entrepreneur.
According to her, her main mission is to bring financial education to Brazil in an accessible way, always talking about real finances for real people, helping people manage money without stress and without going into the red. To fulfill this wish, you have developed the Nath Play project, a platform that transmits knowledge of the area in an easy-to-understand language.
Also in the speech, Nath made a point of speaking about the gender pay inequality. “Women do the same job and occupy the same position as men, but earn 20.5% less than men. When it comes to racing, women earn 57% less than men. From the first salary we have to fight for earn the same as the man who does the same work”.
Still on the subject of career, the financial advisor gave an example that shows how the labor market is rigid and discriminatory against women.
“When a woman is a mother or wants to be, she is made unfeasible and is not hired. On the other hand, the man can do whatever he wants. That is, we have to give up several things to earn our money, and when we finally get ‘we have, comes the double shift, which is taking care of the house, taking care of the child and performing all these tasks that we receive from childhood: ironing, cooking, washing, among others,’ she explained.
FINANCIAL EDUCATION OF CHILDREN
With the intention of bringing financial education to the children’s universe, Nath Finance has become a cartoon character created by cartoonist Ziraldo, responsible for the “Turma do Menino Maluquinho”. Launched earlier this year by Editora Melhoramentos, the work was entitled “The Perfect Plan” and deals with some fundamental questions, such as how to organize money and how to create a piggy bank.
“I was drawn by Ziraldo. So, I’m very excited, because I see so many children who come to me for autographs, I even cry. It’s a financial education book in which you start talking about the relationship with money. Whenever the collection will come out, and we want to bring it to children, to public and private schools, in order to start from an early age with the basic knowledge of finance. Children are our future and also our present”, explained the administrator during the speech.
