Emotions, sex, theater: the trailer for the series “Actress” was released according to the script by Paulina Andreeva with Khodchenkova in the title role

The drama series is built on the principle of a play and is divided into three acts – between which three years pass: series 1-3 (first act) – 2014; series 4-6 (second act) – 2017; episodes 7-10 (third act) – 2020. In the center of the plot is the life of the actors without frills, with all the ups and downs. As conceived by the creators, the series should show that the creative world is not at all as beautiful as it seems from the outside, and that success and fame are fleeting.

In addition to Svetlana Khodchenkova, Elena Nikolaeva, Polina Pushkaruk, Sergey Gilev, Alexei Makarov, Lolita Milyavskaya, Roman Evdokimov, Anna Nevskaya, Igor Zolotovitsky, Natalia Surkova, Anna Snatkina, Alexei Guskov, Evgenia Dobrovolskaya, Andrey Fedortsov and others also played in the series.

Alexey Kiselev is the showrunner along with Paulina Andreeva, and Valery Todorovsky became the project’s producer.

The shooting of the series took place from July to October 2022 in Moscow and the Moscow region, including in one of the main theaters of the country – the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater. The scale of the project is also evidenced by the fact that, especially for the series, director Oleg Glushkov created two original theatrical productions – “Chorus of the Beggars” and “Duck Hunt”. All costumes, sets and other artistic solutions for them were developed from scratch, including the musical arrangement, which was handled by series composer Igor Vdovin.

“She is making a magnificent return to the profession and new trials are beginning, now the glory. And that’s how it all breaks a person down, makes them kind of reevaluate values ​​– that’s the main thing in this story, I think,” the actress shared her thoughts on the character.

Although the theme of the series itself should be familiar and understandable for the actors, many admitted that creating images was not as easy as it seems. For example, Lolita Milyavskaya, who plays theater director Olga Vladimirovna, admitted that she has a complex image.

“He is a man who has accepted the fate of his second wife. And it is not an easy fate. For me, this character is complex, apparently understandable, but complex. And the difficulty is that I- even I’m arranged differently. I’m one of those who will never be second and put anyone on a pedestal,” Lolita said.
