Beauty: 5 daily treatments to take in autumn

OR fall has just arrived and one of the things we have to double down on this new season is the attention in our routine of self-medication daily. Thinking about it, we talked to the dermatologist Lara Filetti ArrudaFrom san francisco hospitalby Mogi Guaçu, to answer five main questions about skin care beauty we may have in this period, please check below:

1- How can I take care of my skin sensitivity during the season?

“During autumn/winter, the skin suffers a little more due to the low temperature and humidity, so we recommend washing the skin with more moisturizing soaps and more frequently during the day. Avoid washing the skin with water very hot and exfoliation, in this case especially people with sensitive skin, it is important to drink water and intensify the hydration of the skin with the use of face masks and creams”, advises Lara.

2 – What should my autumn care routine look like?

According to the dermatologist, what cannot be missing from your beauty cabinet is moisturizer and sunscreen. “An important step of in-season skincare is washing your face with cold water in the morning, applying a moisturizer, and then applying sunscreen,” she talks about her morning routine.

The doctor also teaches what to do at the end of the day. “You can use an anti-oil soap when washing, but with a more moisturizing function. Then, apply a moisturizer again and complete your routine with some acid with the function of whitening, acne control and closing of pores, remembering that this treatment varies according to your skin type. It is also important to emphasize that sunscreen should be reapplied every three hours during the day,” she points out.

3 – What foods should I consume even more abundantly?

“We always suggest a healthy diet, avoiding high glycemic index foods due to the formation of oiliness and acne on the skin, but the most important thing is hydration, drinking plenty of water is important to stay hydrated from the inside out”, says Lara.

4 – How to control skin peeling?

Lara says that to avoid flaky skin this season, it’s important to keep your skin hydrated. “Peeling is common at this time of year, it happens because we use very hot water to take a shower and this ends up dehydrating the skin because the temperature is colder and the air humidity is lower. Even the colder climate dryness increases dehydration and the skin begins to flake. So, to avoid all this, it is important to focus on hydration of the skin, with the intake of water and the use of moisturizing creams and serums”, he recommends.

5 – Can washing your head a lot cause the flu?

“That’s not true, the flu is a viral condition and it’s linked to our immune system and has nothing to do with the temperature of the water or the temperature of the environment,” he says and continues. “It’s best if you shower during the day, in the morning, so your hair has all day to dry, as a damp scalp can lead to dermatitis,” she warns.
