Ingredients:

  • 3 peeled and grated chayotes
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g of grated Parmesan
  • 1 pinch of grated nutmeg
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • Fry oil

Method of preparation:

  1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients.
  2. Using 2 soup spoons, fry the gnocchi in hot oil, a little at a time, until golden brown.
  3. Drain on absorbent paper and serve.

Ingredients:

  • 3 chayotes
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup Parmesan (grated)

Filling

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 1 cup of chopped green olives
  • Salt and chopped parsley to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. For the filling, heat a pan with olive oil and fry the onion until wilted.
  2. Add the chicken, olives, salt and green flavoring and brown for 5 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat, mix with the ricotta and reserve.
  4. Cut the chayote in half lengthwise and cook for 3 minutes in boiling salted water.
  5. Remove from the oven, leave to cool and remove the pulp with a spoon, forming small dumplings.
  6. Finely chop the pulp and mix with the reserved filling.
  7. Divide the filling among the chayote canoes and place them in a mold, side by side.
  8. Sprinkle with Parmesan and bake in a preheated medium oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Pick up and serve later.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablets of fresh brewer’s yeast (45g)
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 2 cups water (warm)
  • 1 cup of oil (tea)
  • 50 g of grated Parmesan
  • 1 egg
  • 1 kg of wheat flour
  • 2 egg yolks for brushing

Filling

  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 3 diced chayote
  • 1 cup olives (chopped)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 400 g of grated white cheese

Method of preparation:

  1. Cook the oil with the onion for 5 minutes.
  2. Add tomatoes, chayote, olives, salt, pepper and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. If needed, add 1/2 cup (tea) water.
  4. Leave to cool, mix in the cheese and set aside.
  5. Mix the yeast, sugar and salt until it turns into a liquid.
  6. Add the water, the oil, the cheese, the egg and gradually add the flour until it comes off your hands.
  7. Knead the dough and make balls.
  8. Leave to rise for 20 minutes.
  9. Open each ball, put the filling and close forming triangles.
  10. Place on a greased and floured baking sheet, brush with egg yolks and bake in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Serve immediately.

Ingredient:

  • 4 tablespoons of pork lard
  • 2 pieces of sliced ​​pair
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 4 diced chuchus
  • 1 liter of water
  • salt to taste
  • 2 cups cabbage (sliced)
  • olive oil for dressing

Method of preparation:

  1. In a frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat and saute the pair, onion and garlic for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove the pair, set aside and in the same pan put the chayote, vegetable stock and water and cook until softened.
  3. Blend the chayote with the cooking water in a blender.
  4. Return the beaten chayote to the pan and add the pair, cabbage and season with salt.
  5. Cook for another 3 minutes.
  6. Turn off and serve then washed down with olive oil.

  • 1 cup cooked chayote (diced)
  • 1/2 cup diced ham
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella (diced)
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • Salt, black pepper and chopped parsley to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk (tea)
  • 1 pinch of chemical yeast
  • olive oil for greasing

Method of preparation:

  1. In a bowl, mix the chayote, ham, cheese and tomato.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, green perfume and olive oil.
  3. In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, flour and baking powder with a wire whisk.
  4. Season with salt and stir until smooth.
  5. Add to the previous mixture and mix. Heat a medium greased non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the mixture.
  6. Leave to harden, cooking for 4 minutes.
  7. With the help of a plate, turn the omelette and put it back in the pan.
  8. Cook for another 4 minutes or until no longer gritty.
  9. Transfer to a plate and serve decorated as desired.

  • 6 chopped chayotes
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley and chives
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 liter of milk
  • margarine for greasing

Method of preparation:

  1. In a skillet, sauté the chayotes in the butter with the spices for 10 minutes or until cooked through.
  2. Amare with a fork transfer into a bowl and mix with the other ingredients being the beaten eggs last.
  3. Place in a greased 30cm diameter baking dish and bake in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
