Irresistible step-by-step cod pie with cheese
Preparation time: 1h (+12h of soaking)
Performance: 30 units
Difficulty level: easy
Ingredients:
- 500 g of cod in flakes
- 600 g of diced potatoes
- 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- 5 tablespoons of grated onion
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 eggs
- 150 g of diced mozzarella
- Fry oil
Method of preparation:
- Soak the cod in water in the refrigerator for 12 hours, changing the water 3 times during this time.
- Place in a pan, cover with water and cook for 15 minutes over medium heat.
- Drain the cod with a slotted spoon and leave it to cool.
- Cook the potato in the cod water for 20 minutes or until softened.
- Drain and mash in the juicer while still hot.
- Mix the parsley, onion, salt and pepper.
- Drain the cod and mix it with the potato.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing with a spoon after each addition.
- Take a portion of dough with a spoon, insert a cube of cheese in the center and, with the help of another spoon, form the ball from one spoon to the other.
- Fry, a little at a time, in hot oil until golden brown.
- Drain on absorbent paper and serve immediately.
