Candied green papaya jam recipe:

Preparation time: 2h

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg of green papaya cut into large cubes
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) of cloves
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 kg of sugar for rolling candy pieces

Method of preparation:

  1. In a pan, put the papaya pieces and the other ingredients.
  2. Bring to medium heat until the syrup that forms is reduced by half (1 hour).
  3. Put everything in a colander or sieve to separate the jam from the broth. Let cool.
  4. Put the sugar on a plate and pass the pieces of candy.
  5. Leave to dry overnight in a large colander or on a wire rack, so that it blows from the top and bottom.
  6. Then, put it in a jar with a lid for storage to preserve your green papaya jam.
