Having a cat is amazing, but there are a few “buts”.
Sometimes cats do very strange things, like stick their buttocks in our face, “catch” water from a bowl with their paw, or lie on the keyboard when we’re working. Some of their habits are very cute, but there are some that are very annoying.
The first and most unpleasant is, of course, nocturnal “tygydyk”, especially when the cat’s route passes through your stomach – even the most bloated press is relaxed at night. With this habit, everything is clear, because cats are nocturnal animals. But where does the way of throwing everything off the table come from?
Why do cats drop objects from high places?
Cats love to move objects that are on a table, shelf or refrigerator and then watch them fall. As veterinarian Ellen Whiteley explains, it’s all about the hunting instinct.
“He tells the cat that the paperweight or trinket could be a mouse. If you push it with your paw, then a great game will start, which can end with a good dinner,” says Ellen. However, after the object falls and lies still on the ground, the cat realizes that no bread or circus is expected, and loses interest in the thing.

There is, according to Whiteley, another explanation for the small acts of vandalism. Sometimes the cat remembers the owner getting up and coming over to raise a glass (or what’s left of it). Seeing this, it is not uncommon for animals to use provocation to get attention, especially when feeding time approaches.
